💙 Every step is better when we take it together! 💙

Our STRIDE crew had such a great time at the Buddy Walk celebrating our amazing friends with Down syndrome! 🫶🏼 From walking and being active to laughing, connecting, and making memories, it was a beautiful day celebrating inclusion and community.

A huge thank-you to DSANI for putting on such a wonderful event each year, the local school sports teams for showing up and cheering on our friends, and the TinCaps staff for helping make the day so special! 🏈🏀⚽️⚾️

We’re so proud of our STRIDE friends for showing up, getting involved, and making every step count. What a beautiful day celebrating Down syndrome, inclusion, friendship, and community! 💙💛

🌳🐃 A great day at Ouabache State Park in Bluffton Indiana with Kale! Kale enjoyed walking around the buffalo exhibit before making his way up the lookout tower. Along the way, he worked on physical activity, maintaining conversation, and engaging in coping skills and mindfulness while enjoying the outdoors.

Every step was an opportunity to build independence, stay active, and enjoy a new experience! 💚

Blade’s Northeast Indiana Tour – Starting at Home! 🌟🗺️
Hey everyone! Blade here, kicking off his special tour of Northeast Indiana right from his hometown of Wabash!
This incredible young man is out exploring, practicing his communication skills, using his favorite stress-reduction techniques, and building socially adaptive behaviors—one exciting stop at a time. It’s all about growth, confidence, and enjoying the journey!
Stop #1: The Wabash Sign! 📍 Blade is feeling strong, confident, and ready for the road ahead. He’s showing us all that when you approach the world with a big smile and a positive mindset, anything is possible!
Stop #2: Library Fun! 📚 Blade hit the library for a relaxing game of Uno. He’s a pro at using his favorite hobbies to stay calm, centered, and ready to take on the day. He’s showing us that even the busiest days have room for a little relaxation.
Stop #3: Art & Adventure! 🎨 From the big arch to the vibrant, colorful murals, Blade is soaking in the sunshine and the beauty of his community. He’s leaning into the moment, keeping his energy high, and showing us how to truly appreciate our surroundings.
Blade is proving that every place has something new to learn and enjoy. We are so inspired by his dedication to practicing his skills and his joy for life. Follow along as he continues the tour—more adventures, more growth, and lots of positive vibes coming your way!

🐴✨ Saddle up for some therapeutic fun! Our clients enjoyed getting out, connecting with the horses, and experiencing all the benefits that equine activities can offer. Horseback riding can support confidence, communication, balance, coordination, sensory regulation, emotional well-being, and social engagement all while encouraging individuals to try something new and enjoy the outdoors. 🌿💛

We love finding meaningful recreational experiences that promote growth, independence, and connection while having a little fun along the way! 🐎

One week ago today, we spent an unforgettable day at Marion Splash House! 💦☀️

This adventure brought together an incredible group of individuals from multiple organizations, including STRIDE, Sky Point, Pure Abilities, and Torres, creating opportunities to build new friendships, strengthen existing relationships, and enjoy an inclusive day in the community.

Throughout the trip, participants practiced valuable life skills by budgeting for admission, packing their own lunches and essential items, preparing for a full day away from home, and staying physically active through walking, swimming, and exploring the water attractions. Beyond the fun, the day encouraged communication, socialization, independence, and confidence in a real-world setting.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such amazing organizations to create meaningful experiences that remind us just how powerful community inclusion can be. Here’s to making memories, building connections, and many more adventures together! 💙🌊

Building more than towers! 🧱 Jordan used blocks to strengthen cooperation, problem-solving, and cause-and-effect skills through fun, hands-on recreational therapy activities. Every block stacked was another opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun!

Kelley and BC Nicholas spent time at the park building confidence on her skateboard while reviewing safety, body awareness, and the importance of using coping skills before challenges become overwhelming. Every small step builds confidence!

STRIDE's annual Waterpark Trip is back, and we can't wait to spend a day making memories with everyone at Marion Splash House on Friday, July 24th!

A few of our Behavior Consultants had the opportunity to attend the Indiana Mental Health Summit, where they heard from the incredible Zak Williams, Robin Williams son, about his advocacy efforts supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges and promoting emotional wellness.

It was an inspiring day filled with education, collaboration, and meaningful conversations about how we can continue making a difference in our community. 💙

Renee enjoyed a refreshing outdoor stroll with her behavior consultant, Marylou. She was fully engaged in the walk, taking in the fresh air and looking forward to the arrival of spring. 🌿☀️ The time outside brought smiles, movement, and a wonderful moment to appreciate the changing season. 🌷
