Yesterday, Aging & In-Home Services President & CEO Beth Evans and Parkview RMC & Affiliates President Jerry Grannan joined stakeholders at the 5th Anniversary of PACE of Northeast Indiana.

The two organizations jointly operate PACE (Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) of Northeast Indiana providing integrated clinical and social care in one setting.

PACE expands on-site services to include dentistry, optometry and podiatry!

Age-related changes—like reduced flexibility, neuropathy and poor eyesight—often create barriers to self-care, making daily hygiene routines and routine professional screenings essential.

The PACE Center already offers on-site assistance with self-care including bathing, grooming and personal laundry. Now, these three essential services that are critical for the elderly to prevent malnutrition, serious infections, and injuries from falls will also be available at PACE Center.

Appointments for all services will be scheduled by the Interdisciplinary Team to coincide with Participant's regular Center visits so no additional transportation is required.

As PACE celebrates its 5th Anniversary, we're also celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States! 🗽

PACE officially began welcoming Participants onto the program in 2021. Ever since, the IDTeam has been supporting older adults in living safely and independently for as long as possible.

The PACE Center will be closed tomorrow for Independence Day weekend. We will reopen for business as usual on Monday, July 6th at 8:00am.

New research by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services shows PACE Participants have significantly lower rates of hospitalization, emergency room use and death.

Per the study, Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) enjoys broad support because it is cost effective for taxpayers and families. An alternative to nursing home care, PACE provides seniors with an opportunity to remain safely independent while reducing the strain on families and caregivers to deliver a better quality of life.

Is PACE a nursing home?

No. Although it requires nursing home level of care, Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is not a nursing home. At PACE, an Interdisciplinary Team of professionals coordinates both clinical and social care to help people meet their health care needs in the community instead of going to a nursing home or other care facility. Transportation to and from the Center and other approved appointments is also a part of the program!
