Do you love natural birth? So do we, and we’d love you have you on our team!

We’re looking for Birth Techs and Nurses who are passionate about supporting moms and babies through one of the most important moments of their lives.

Nurses join our midwives to provide labor support, emergency care, postpartum guidance, and breastfeeding assistance. Labor & Delivery experience is preferred, but we’re open to other specialties and new grads.

Birth Techs provide hands-on support to our midwives and nurses during labor, birth, and early postpartum - think supplies, room turnover, helping families, and being ready to assist in any situation. A medical background is strongly preferred.

Both roles are call-based with 12-hour shifts — flexible, meaningful work at a birth center that does things differently.

Do you have a love of natural birth? We are hiring patient care/birth techs to provide hands-on assistance to the midwives and nurses during the last stages of labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. The role is to provide any needed support for the midwife and nurse including, but not limited to:⁠
⁠
- Be available for 12-hour call shifts (example: 7 AM - 7 PM Wednesday); we have an immediate need for coverage on Thursday day shifts (7AM - 7PM), but other day and night shifts are available each week
- Arriving prior to the birth and remain about 2 hours postpartum⁠
- Assisting the midwife/nurse with obtaining supplies, cleaning, stocking, retrieving equipment etc.⁠
- Actively ready and able to assist midwife/nurse in an emergency⁠
- Assisting the patient/family with basic postpartum needs⁠
- Cleaning/turning over the room immediately postpartum⁠
- Various other duties related to the birth/postpartum period⁠
⁠
The ability to assist our staff and put patients and families at ease while working quickly and calmly in a fast-paced environment are skills ESSENTIAL to this role.⁠

A medical background is strongly preferred.⁠
⁠
Compensation: $2/hour on-call and $15/hr when called into HFBC for a birth⁠

Her mother kindly shared, "Second time giving birth with FMCC at the birth center, & even got the same room both times, which made it even more memorable. Marianne & Theresa were exactly the combination of what I needed for this labor. It was a beautiful delivery, & they helped me through the hardest parts. My husband got to catch the baby in the tub, & being a surprise gender til birth, made it really special to announce our third baby girl! She had a brief stay in the NICU due to breathing difficulties, but the midwives & nurses were so supportive & prayed with me throughout the time there. I felt Gods presence the entire time during my labor & we are very blessed to have found FMCC to help grow our family after several miscarriages. God truly is a waymaker & miracle worker!"

Her mother kindly shared, "Although birth at the birth center didn't happen, the nurses at Dupont, Marianne, and Dr. Gardner made sure my labor progressed, and delivery was enjoyable. Super grateful for their guidance and support in getting our rainbow baby here with us!"
