GoodMaps has officially launched in Fort Wayne!
Today marked an exciting step toward making Fort Wayne more accessible and inclusive with the launch of GoodMaps at Fort Wayne International Airport@ and the Grand Wayne Convention Centervention Center.
GoodMaps provides precise indoor navigation, helping visitors of all abilities confidently navigate complex indoor spaces. But this technology is about so much more than wayfinding. At its heart, it is about independence, access, and creating environments where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to participate.
This important initiative was made possible through support from the WindSwell Foundation and the collaboration of dedicated partners from The League for the Blind and Disabledeague for the Blind & Disabled, Turnstone Center for Children and Adults with Disabilitiesne, and Visit Fort Wayne.
Today’s launch was an opportunity to introduce the public to this valuable tool while encouraging other businesses and organizations throughout Fort Wayne to consider bringing GoodMaps techology into their own facilities.
Several members of The League’s staff were proud to be in attendance and celebrate this exciting milestone alongside our community partners.
When we prioritize full inclusion, we create a community where everyone has the opportunity to navigate, participate, and belong.
