September is National Recovery Month. It's a month to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the nation's strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and communities who make recovery in all its forms possible.

While there is a lot of work to be done, one of the best things that you can do is to talk about it. Let's talk about mental health. Let's talk about drug and alcohol addiction. Let's talk about treatment and recovery.

There is a stigma around these issues that makes it hard sometimes to speak up or ask for help. There is no shame in asking for help. In fact, it's quite the opposite.

Join us throughout the month (and well beyond) and lets take away the stigma around mental health, addiction and treatment.

Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. IOAD is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died from overdose, and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind.

It is time to remember and time to act. Every day, but especially today, Allendale Treatment, Fort Wayne Recovery, Allendale Behavioral Health take the time to remember those we have lost, those you have lost, and pledge to do all we can do to . If you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out. No more stigma. No more shame.
