2025 Indiana Cemetery Association Fall Conference and Trade Show

On behalf of the ICA Board of Directors, we sincerely hope that you are enjoying the very best of summer days. Soon, the temperatures will moderate, and that means that it is again ICA convention time. Your ICA Board has decided to return to Notre Dame for this one day event that you do not want to miss.

Dear ICA Member,

Last week, the State Board of Funeral and Cemetery Service suspended payments into both the State Guarantee Fund and the Cemetery Maintenance Fund for 2023. The Guarantee Fund now exceeds 2.5M and the Maintenance Fund is in excess of its statutory limit of $500k respectively.

Recently, you should have received the Renewal of Certificate of Authority. Go ahead and submit the form no later than March 1, 2023 but you do not need to include payment on prepaid contracts sold. Remember that you do not need a Certificate of Authority if you are not selling prepaid vaults, opening and closing services, final dates or if you are not installing prepaid memorials/monuments within one year of receiving the final payment. Many of our members only sell interment spaces, niches and mausoleum crypts. If you fall into this category, you are not required to hold a Certificate of Authority.
