A sad end to the story. The fox was found by the team at Werling Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Center and it has passed away. We appreciate the care and compassion their team provided as well as the concern that our community has shown for the fox.

Rest easy little guy.

An amazing event at Veterans National Memorial Shrine and Museum this morning. They were dedicating the bench honoring The Civil War that we had donated.

What we didn’t know was that Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Department of Indiana were also honoring our General Manager, Amber, for continuing to have events highlighting Civil War Veterans who are laid to rest at Lindenwood. Tom stated that this is the first time a non-member was honored by the organization.

We also didn’t know that we would be receiving a very generous donation from our friend Tom Schmitt. He is our first official sponsor of this years car show and we are absolutely humbled that he chose to take part in this event again this year.

Thank you to everyone at the shrine who put in all the hard work for today’s event!

We have been made aware that there is a fox on our grounds. It has something around his neck. If you see it, please call Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control and let them know the area of the cemetery you saw it at. If you could also take a photo so they can find the best way to care for it.

Thank you.

We were honored to host this event! Thank you to SAR - Anthony Halberstadt Chapter for all you do!

Today, we were honored to welcome spouses, parents, children, grandchildren, distant relatives, friends and complete strangers to honor soldiers that fought for our freedoms throughout American history. Today and everyday we are incredibly proud to be a part of the Fort Wayne Community. Thank you for joining us today.

We look forward to seeing you at the Patriot Walk & Pomeroy Dedication this afternoon from 1-3 pm.
