"My child passed their school vision screening… so why are they still struggling to read??"

Did you know? Approximately 80% of learning is visual!

This is one of the most common misconceptions about children's vision.School vision screenings are designed to identify **distance vision problems**, but they typically **do not evaluate** the visual skills children rely on every day in the classroom, including:

Eye Teaming,Focusing, and Eye Tracking

These essential visual skills play a critical role in reading, learning, attention, and overall classroom performance. A child can have **20/20 eyesight** and still experience vision problems that affect their ability to learn.

Does your child become frustrated with homework, lose their place while reading, complain that words move, or avoid close-up work? Share your experiences in the comments below. Your story may help another family recognize the signs.
