Happy National Dietary Week!

Our dietary team deserves a little extra love and recognition! They work hard every day to make sure our friends are taken care of, and we’re so thankful for the time, effort, and care they put into what they do. Good food brings comfort, happiness, and a little taste of home, and we appreciate the team that makes that happen!

Today, our friends chose to get creative with some fall and Halloween coloring pages! As we colored, we reminisced about Halloweens past, sharing childhood memories of trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins, and all the fun traditions that made this time of year so special.

🪩 FAMILY NIGHT: GLOW PARTY! 🪩

What a night! Our friends absolutely lit up the place at River Oaks Family Night - Glow Party! From the neon decorations and black lights to the music, dancing, singing, laughter, and all the glowing fun, everyone had an absolute blast. And the best part? They’re still talking about how much fun they had!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing team for showing up, jumping in, and helping make this night extra special for our friends. It truly takes a team to create these magical moments, and I’m so grateful to everyone who helped make this celebration such a success.

A very special thank you also goes to Tonja for running the awesome photo booth and helping our friends capture some of their favorite memories! We’re equally grateful to Jen and all of our friends at Halo Hospice for making the photo booth possible and for always being willing to help us create meaningful, memorable moments for our friends.

Nights like this remind us why what we do matters so much. Seeing our friends smile, dance, laugh, and simply have FUN is what it’s all about.

Tommy is often one of the very first people our residents and their families meet. From the very beginning, he has made it a priority to build meaningful relationships and establish trust with every family he works with 🤍

💙 There’s something really special about hearing our residents recognize the people who care for them. 💙

We want to give a shoutout to Lorena, one of our amazing CNAs, and Evelyn, one of our wonderful Hospitality Aides!

After one recent evening at River Oaks, some of our residents took the time to share how smoothly the night went and how much they enjoyed having Lorena and Evelyn caring for and helping them. They had some really kind things to say about both of them, and we absolutely loved hearing it!

It’s moments like that that remind us how much the little things matter. The kindness, patience, compassion, and extra effort our team gives our residents doesn’t go unnoticed, and sometimes, our residents are the ones who remind us of just how meaningful that work really is.

Lorena and Evelyn, thank you for everything you do and for making that evening such a positive experience for our residents. We’re so happy to have you both as part of the River Oaks family!

And of course, a huge thank you to our entire River Oaks team for the care, heart, and dedication you bring to our residents every day. Every role matters, and we’re grateful for each and every one of you!
