"I came here looking for a job. I stayed because I found purpose." 💙

When Veronica first joined Caregiver, she was a single mom looking for a weekend overnight position to help support her family. She never imagined it would become the career she loves.

Over the years, Veronica has grown from Direct Support Professional to Medication Aide, earned her LVN, and continues making a difference every day. But ask her what matters most, and it isn't the titles—it's the people.

"Every time the individuals smile when they see you or line up for a hug, you remember why this work matters."

Veronica believes the smallest moments often have the greatest impact and that every person deserves patience, kindness, respect, and the opportunity to thrive.

🧩 Kendall Puts His Own Spin on Puzzles!

Kendall has enjoyed puzzles for as long as the team at Crawfordsville Day Hab has known him—and he has a remarkable approach that is entirely his own: he completes them with the picture side down!

Staff have encouraged him to try working picture side up, but Kendall knows exactly how he prefers to do it. 😊

Now, Kendall is taking on his biggest challenge yet—a 1,000-piece puzzle! With incredible patience and concentration, he works one piece at a time. His team also knows one important rule: Don’t disturb the puzzle while he’s working!

Kendall is nonverbal, but when he completes a puzzle, his huge smile and excitement to show everyone say it all. We can’t wait to see this one finished!
