What does chronic pain really look like today? To find out, Confluent Health launched The Pain Perspective, a new research initiative designed to better understand how chronic pain affects people's lives, access to care, and recovery journeys.
Based on insights from more than 1,200 patients, the report explores the physical, emotional, and financial realities of living with chronic pain and highlights opportunities to improve care.
Here are a few key findings:
➡️ 85% are currently living with chronic pain
➡️ 82% say pain limits daily activities
➡️ 65% report mental health challenges related to pain
➡️ 47% have avoided care because of cost
➡️ 90% would recommend physical therapy
It's clear: chronic pain affects far more than the body, but effective, evidence-based care can help. If pain is limiting your life, know that you have options. Physical therapy can help you move better, feel stronger, and get back to the activities that matter most.
