What does chronic pain really look like today? To find out, Confluent Health launched The Pain Perspective, a new research initiative designed to better understand how chronic pain affects people's lives, access to care, and recovery journeys.

Based on insights from more than 1,200 patients, the report explores the physical, emotional, and financial realities of living with chronic pain and highlights opportunities to improve care.

Here are a few key findings:
➡️ 85% are currently living with chronic pain
➡️ 82% say pain limits daily activities
➡️ 65% report mental health challenges related to pain
➡️ 47% have avoided care because of cost
➡️ 90% would recommend physical therapy

It's clear: chronic pain affects far more than the body, but effective, evidence-based care can help. If pain is limiting your life, know that you have options. Physical therapy can help you move better, feel stronger, and get back to the activities that matter most.

⚽ Soccer injuries aren't always caused by one bad play.
Many of the most common injuries—from ankle sprains and hamstring strains to ACL tears—can often be traced back to things players never think about: fatigue, recovery, strength deficits, and training load.

The surprising part? Where it hurts isn't always where the problem starts.
Before you brush off that lingering pain, take a look at what every soccer player should know about injury prevention, recovery, and getting back in the game.

Care Coordinator of the Month of June goes to... Rianna!!!🎉

Rianna is more on the introverted side, but once comfortable she loves spending time with people closest to her—especially her two best friends and family! Family means everything to Rianna, and she genuinely looks forward to every get-together because they're all so close and always have the best time together.

When Rianna is not working, you can usually find her reading a good book, working out, online shopping, doom scrolling on TikTok, or enjoying a good, sweet treat! 😅

As we wrap up May and recognize National Physical Fitness & Sports Month, we want to remind everyone that building a strong foundation is one of the best investments you can make for your long-term health, longevity, and quality of life💪

You don’t have to be an elite athlete to benefit from strength, stability, and movement. We all start somewhere—the important part is simply starting.

These fundamental exercises can help improve strength, balance, stability, and endurance for runners and everyday movement:

👣 Short Foot → foot & ankle stability
🍑 Single Leg Bridge → hip control & glute activation
🦵 Single Leg Heel Raise → calf strength & endurance
🪵 Plank → core & trunk stability
🔥 Side Plank → core & hip stability/endurance

Whether your goal is running stronger, moving better, preventing injury, or simply staying active for years to come, a strong foundation matters. So, start where you are and build over time. 🙌

Watching students grow, develop confidence and clinical skills, and pursue this profession is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do and at SporTherapy we believe in teaching, mentoring, and investing in the next generation of PTs not just creating great clinicians, but great people!

We’re proud to have been a part of the journey and can’t wait to see all the incredible things ahead for Alfonso. Congratulations and good luck at Tarleton State!
