I was happy to get my Les Paul Custom, Black Silverburst, back in the day, but this guy's excitement takes the cake!! 🎸😀

I no longer have that guitar (long, sad story), but I do have my other love - a Black Fender Strat. I'm going to be just a little more appreciative and grateful for it today, because of this fellow! 🙂

More good than bad, Episode 27.

One thing I say in therapy a lot is the old quote that's often attributed to Gandhi: "Be the change you want to see in the world." It's a nice quote, but if AI is to be believed, he didn't actually say that!!

But what he did say, many years earlier, is kind of even better: "As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him."

That probably fits the video better. They guy "changed his own nature" (got off drugs/booze), then went out to present that new self to the world in a creative way, and the world responded beautifully.

Call me crazy, but I think there's more good in the world than bad. It might be because that's where I put my attention. What you focus on expands in your field of vision, and what you dwell on becomes your way of life. Be careful where you let your mind go.

Far and away my favorite band and singer of the Grunge era. By the time of this MTV Unplugged, Layne was on the downhill side of the he**in addiction that would end up killing him, and his vocals were affected by the extensive degeneration of his teeth. But he still delivered a masterpiece of a soulful performance. Also, Jerry Cantrell was/is an underrated guitar player and song writer. Enjoy Nutshell - Alice in Chains.
