For many people with blood cancer or other serious blood disorders, a blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant can offer hope — and it often starts with a donor.

According to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), most patients who need a transplant don’t have a fully matched donor in their family and rely on NMDP (formerly Be The Match) to help find one. NMDP ℠ is a global nonprofit leader in cell therapy that helps save the lives of patients with blood cancers and disorders.

As part of HCA Healthcare, we're proud to support this life-saving work through the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network — one of the nation's leading providers of unrelated bone marrow donor transplants in the U.S. Each year, this extensive network helps connect tens of thousands of patients with the care they need.

Falls can happen at any age, but there are simple steps that can help reduce risk at home and in daily routines.

During Fall Prevention Awareness Week, take time to look for common hazards, such as loose rugs, poor lighting, cluttered walkways or missing handrails. Staying active, wearing supportive shoes and talking with your doctor about balance, vision or medication concerns can also help support safer movement.

Medical City Healthcare offers injury prevention resources designed to help you and your family take informed steps toward safety, mobility and independence.
