Mark was admitted to our Encompass Health hospital in Louisville, Kentucky after having a stroke. When he arrived, he had little movement on the right side of his body and required the assistance of two people for transfers. Through patience, determination and hard work, Mark showed up every day ready to give his best effort in therapy. Over time, he regained movement in his right leg and made remarkable progress.

By discharge, Mark was able to walk out of the hospital with standby assistance. Congratulations on your incredible recovery, Mark! 🎉💙

Victor was admitted to our Encompass Health hospital in Pearland, Texas to recover from health issues that limited his mobility.

With the support of specialized technologies and skilled therapists, he made meaningful progress. Yesterday, we celebrated the grand opening of our newest hospital! Located in San Antonio, Texas, this 50-bed rehabilitation hospital will provide life-changing care to those recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations and other complex orthopedic and neurological conditions.

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Westover Hills marks our 30th location in Texas and second location in San Antonio.

Gordon was admitted to our Encompass Health hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana to recover from a bacterial infection. When he arrived, Gordon had balance issues and irregular movements.

Therapists focused on fall prevention and reaction time by securing Gordon in the Vector system during mobility training. He made tremendous progress and was able to discharge home!

Michael came to our Encompass Health location in Moline, Illinois after complications from an illness led to several small strokes. When he arrived, he had difficulty walking, dressing and managing daily activities.

Through physical and occupational therapy, Michael focused on rebuilding strength and independence. By the end of his stay, he was able to walk out the door on his own.
