Recently, the Superior Healthcare Services team, along with our families, had the privilege of volunteering at a Rise Against Hunger meal-packing event hosted by Trietsch Methodist Church.

Working side by side with other volunteers, we helped pack 300,000 nutritious meals that will be sent to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was an incredible experience to come together in service, knowing that our efforts will help provide hope and nourishment to communities in need.

At Superior Healthcare Services, caring for others extends beyond the patients we serve every day. We're proud to support organizations that are making a meaningful impact around the world and grateful for opportunities like this to give back as a team.

Whether it's a sunburn, scrape, blister, or insect bite, even minor skin damage can become a bigger problem if it's not treated properly—especially for individuals with diabetes, poor circulation, or other chronic health conditions.

Protect your skin by wearing broad-spectrum sunscreen, staying hydrated, and keeping your skin clean and moisturized. If you experience a cut, scrape, or insect bite, clean the area promptly, apply a clean bandage, and monitor it for signs of infection such as redness, swelling, warmth, or drainage. Taking a few moments to care for your skin today can help prevent complications tomorrow.

Meet Jessica Smith, Admissions Coordinator for Superior Healthcare Services. Since joining in April 2022, Jessica has been one of the friendly faces helping patients begin their healing journey. As our Admissions Coordinator, she works closely with patients and referral sources to make the admissions process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

💙 What Jessica Enjoys Most About Her Role
Jessica loves helping patients navigate the often-confusing world of insurance. She understands that insurance can be overwhelming, and she's passionate about making the process easier so patients can focus on what matters most—their healing.

Compression + Wound Care = Better Healing

For many patients with chronic wounds, managing swelling is just as important as treating the wound itself.

Compression therapy helps reduce edema, improve circulation, and create the optimal environment for healing. When combined with advanced wound care, including appropriate dressings, debridement when needed, infection management, and treatment of underlying conditions, it can significantly improve healing outcomes.

For patients with lymphedema or chronic swelling, lymphedema pumps may also be recommended to help move excess fluid, reduce swelling, and support the healing process. These devices are often used alongside compression garments as part of a personalized treatment plan.

At Superior Healthcare Services, we take a whole-patient approach to wound healing by addressing the underlying causes, not just the wound.

🎲❄️Breaking the Ice at the TAGS Summer Forum❄️🎲

John Kreter and Kaitlyn Rios were proud to represent Superior Healthcare Services at this year's TAGS Summer Forum! With the event's Game Night theme, we brought a fun and interactive twist by featuring the classic game Don't Break the Ice (even dressed as penguins to complete the theme! 🐧🐧)

Our booth was designed to spark conversations while educating attendees about the importance of advanced wound care, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and limb preservation. We believe learning is most effective when it's engaging, and a little fun never hurts!

His passion for making a difference shines through every patient interaction, and he takes pride in helping patients regain both their health and confidence.

Making a positive impact in patients' lives and improving their overall health. There's nothing more rewarding than helping someone heal and get back to enjoying life.

Watching patients make real progress throughout their healing journey. Seeing the excitement and renewed hope on a patient's face as their wound improves is what makes wound care so meaningful.
