Meet the family behind Visiting Angels Fort Worth. 💙

President Dale Brock and Vice President Kathryn Hankinson share a commitment to helping older adults remain safely and comfortably at home while giving families peace of mind.

For Dale, this work became personal when his mother was diagnosed with dementia. That experience sparked a passion for senior care that has guided the agency for more than a decade. Today, Kathryn works alongside him, helping lead the next chapter of Visiting Angels while building on the values that have always been at its core: kindness, integrity, and presence.

Together, they're committed to serving Fort Worth families with compassionate care, meaningful connections, and a team that treats every client like family.

Last night, Kathryn Hankinson and Caroline Meekins attended the 2nd Annual Faces of Dementia, supporting the important work of Dementia Friendly Fort Worth. 💜

The evening was especially meaningful for Caroline, whose Mimi Ray was among the loved ones honored on the Faces of Dementia wall.

Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, a lifetime of memories, and a story worth honoring. Events like this remind us to keep seeing the person first and to support the families who walk alongside them.

We are grateful to be part of a Fort Worth community that continues to bring awareness, connection, and support to families impacted by dementia.

Caregiving can be rewarding, but it can also feel overwhelming at times. The good news is you don't have to navigate it alone.

Local caregiver support groups can provide encouragement, practical advice, and a space to connect with others who understand the challenges and emotions that often come with caring for a loved one.

If you're caring for a family member and looking for additional support, these Fort Worth-area resources are a great place to start. And if you're exploring ways to lighten the day-to-day caregiving responsibilities, our team is always here to support you. 🩵

Many families don't realize a loved one may need extra support until a crisis happens. That's why regular visits can be so important. Make sure to pay attention to changes, ask questions, and focus on connection rather than correction. Small observations today can open the door to meaningful conversations tomorrow. 🩵

If you're noticing changes in a parent or loved one, Visiting Angels Fort Worth is here to help you understand your options and find the right level of support. Learn more in the link below.

Join us in celebrating our September Caregiver of the Month, Sharon Rowe! 🌟

Clients request Sharon by name, and it isn’t hard to understand why. She recently helped a client get ready for a yard sale, which is nowhere in a care plan and exactly the kind of thing Sharon does. She sees the person, not the assignment.

“There is no distance too far.” Sharon says it often, and she lives it, picking up shifts across Fort Worth and Southlake whenever a client needs her.

Dependable, hardworking, and genuinely compassionate. We are grateful to have her on our team, and grateful that she never misses a chance to tell us we’re beautiful. 🩵
