If you’ve been coming to our Saginaw location for a while, there’s a good chance you already know Kenya! 💆🏽‍♀️

Kenya and I actually started our massage therapy journeys at this very location around the same time, back in November 2020 when it was Dolly Rockers/ Revive. Over the years, she’s continued to grow as a Licensed Massage Therapist while building relationships with clients and helping people make massage a regular part of taking care of themselves.

Kenya believes massage therapy is about more than simply relaxing it’s about caring for the mind, body, and overall well-being. She takes her time to listen to the body, identify areas of tension and discomfort, and adjust each session based on what her client needs that day.

Her style combines Swedish and deep tissue techniques, making her a great fit for clients who want to relax while still receiving effective therapeutic work to address muscle tension and pain.

One of the things I’m most excited about with this new chapter of Meaux Bodywork & Wellness is being able to continue working alongside therapists like Kenya who have been serving this community for years. 🤎

With nearly 5 years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Vernon focuses on helping clients relax, reduce muscle tension, relieve stress, and address the everyday aches and discomfort that can build up over time.

Whether you’re looking to completely unwind after a long week or need more focused work on deeper areas of muscular tension, Vernon customizes each session around your goals, pressure preference, and comfort level.

His specialties include:

Hey everyone! 👋🏽 I’m Maurice Mayfield, owner and Licensed Massage Therapist behind Meaux Bodywork & Wellness, and I wanted to take a moment to officially introduce myself especially to those of you who have been following this page since the Revive days.

What makes this new chapter so special to me is that this is actually where my journey as a massage therapist began.

Back in 2020, I started my career as a massage therapist right here when this location was known as Dolly Rockers. As the business transitioned into Revive, I continued working here and spent the next three years growing, learning, building relationships with clients, and developing the skills that helped shape the therapist and business owner I am today.

In 2023, I decided to take a leap of faith and start something of my own Meaux Bodywork. I opened my first location in the Fort Worth Stockyards, with a vision of creating a place where massage wasn’t viewed as just a luxury, but as a part of taking care of your body, improving how you move and feel, recovering, and prioritizing your overall wellness.

Fast forward to today, and somehow that journey has brought me right back to where it all started. 🤎

When the opportunity came for Meaux Bodywork to expand into the former Revive location, it truly felt like a full-circle moment. I started here as a massage therapist learning and growing in my career, and now I have the opportunity to return as a business owner and build the second location of Meaux Bodywork — Meaux Bodywork & Wellness.

My goal for this location is to build on the foundation that was already created here while bringing a new vision, new energy, and even more ways for our community to take care of themselves.

At Meaux Bodywork & Wellness, we’re creating more than just a place to get a massage. My vision is to build a wellness destination focused on pain relief, recovery, relaxation, performance, and overall wellness with massage therapy, couples massage, sauna, recovery services, lymphatic wellness services, and more all available under one roof.

For those of you who have known me since my Revive days, thank you for being part of the journey. And for everyone I’m just now getting the opportunity to meet, I can’t wait to welcome you in and show you what we’re building.

From starting my career in this building in 2020…
to starting Meaux Bodywork in 2023…
to now returning and opening Meaux Bodywork & Wellness in the same place where my career began…
