Two of our Assisted Living residents recently sat down with USA Today to share their memories and reflections as we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸

They were asked, “Where were you on 9/11, how did you learn what was happening, and who were you with?” and “What thoughts or emotions did you experience?”

They also discussed whether they had personal connections to victims or first responders and how the events of that day changed their lives.

We’re honored to give the residents the opportunity to share their stories and help preserve these important memories for future generations.

What a day to remember at Legend of Fort Worth! ✈️

Residents enjoyed lunch, commemorative photos, and the incredible opportunity to take to the skies in a WWII-era Boeing Stearman biplane through Dream Flights, a nonprofit that provides free flights to honor seniors and Veterans.

As a longtime supporter of the organization, Legend Senior Living is proud to help create experiences that celebrate residents’ stories, service, and lifelong passions.

From sharing memories sparked by the flight to making new ones together, this unforgettable day is a beautiful example of how Life Enrichment turns meaningful moments into lasting memories.

Mr. Penrod in our Reflections program was working hard on his peg activity!

This activity helps with color recognition, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and brain stimulation.

We love seeing him stay engaged, focused, and enjoying the activity! 💙🧩

Our Legend Store is a huge hit every two weeks!

The residents are always lined up and excited to get inside to shop for goodies and supplies they may need.

The best part is that they earn their Legend Bucks by participating in activities throughout the week.

It’s a fun and rewarding way to encourage participation, build excitement, and give the residents something special to look forward to every two weeks!
