Taking a few days away for the holiday weekend and soaking up these Smoky Mountain views. Sometimes getting away from the routine, slowing down, and enjoying somewhere beautiful is exactly the kind of reset we need.

Back to the spa Tuesday, hopefully a little more rested and recharged.

Traveling for the holiday weekend on about 4 hours of sleep, so the Reduced Sugar Red Bull Dragon Berry Energizer was calling my name.

And why does it somehow take me straight back to my Jägerbomb days when I was 21?! 🤣

Now I’m 44, tired, traveling, and just trying to stay awake.

And of course the esthetician in me is still thinking about skin. Too much sugar can contribute to inflammation and glycation, which isn’t exactly doing our collagen any favors.

This is also why I stay consistent with my Environ Vitamin A. Because apparently I’m over here indulging, running on no sleep, and still expecting my skin to keep up.

Deep tissue doesn’t always mean more pressure.

A lot of times, slowing down and working with the muscle can be way more effective than just pushing harder.

The goal isn’t to see how much pressure you can tolerate. The goal is to help the body actually relax and let go.

Sometimes less pressure gets better results.

Apparently there is no such thing as “too hot for hot tea” around here 😂☕️

Even with this crazy Indiana heat, I still have so many clients who love leaving their massage or facial with a hot tea and a little chocolate to take home.

It’s just one of those little Hidden Spa things.

I finally walked across the street and tried Ms. M’s Shaved Ice & Ice Cream 🍧

Because apparently Indiana decided September should still feel like the middle of summer 😂☀️

They’re seriously a little hidden gem in Fortville, tucked right next to the old Broadway Hardware store. If you don’t know they’re there, you could totally miss them!

And when it’s almost 100 degrees outside, shaved ice just makes sense.

Still figuring out the Meta glasses… centering can definitely be a struggle
