Where comfort, dignity, and connection feel just like home. 💛 Haven House was built in 1988 from a committee of community members wanting to keep their elders in their home town. They formed a private non-profit with a seven member board to established a comfortable environment easing the transition from their house to ours. Our mission statement:
"To provide affordable housing with quality serv

ices which reflect and support independence, dignity, choices and privacy, while meeting the needs of all tenants in a home like setting."

Haven House is a Residential Care Facility with 24 hour assistance and an on call registered nurse. This means our residents must be able to transfer with one assist; most of our residents need small assists and reminders. Our goal is to deliver these services in a manner that promotes the well-being, self esteem and independence of all our residents.

"We are pleased to announce that the lockdown at our facility has now been lifted. We extend our sincere gratitude to all our residents, their families, and the community for your remarkable cooperation and understanding throughout this period. Your patience and support have been invaluable.

In addition, on behalf of the Haven House Retirement Center Board of Directors, we wish to take this moment to express our deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation for our dedicated law enforcement officers and first responders. Thank you does not seem adequate to convey the depth of our gratitude for your service. We recognize and deeply value the immense sacrifices you make, the risks you willingly take and the countless hours you dedicate to ensuring our safety and well-being. Your unwavering commitment, resilience, and courage, often demonstrated in challenging circumstances, do not go unnoticed.

We are incredibly thankful for your service and for dedicating your lives to protecting ours. Thank you for everything you do!"

"Haven House Retirement Center Announcement"

Dear Residents, Families, and Staff,

We are writing to inform you that, as per the advice of state authorities(Community Based Care/APD-Safety,Oversight and Quality Unit/Department of Human Services) Haven House Retirement Center is implementing a temporary lock down for the immediate safety and protection of our cherished residents.

This measure is being taken due to an immediate threat identified within the surrounding community. Our utmost priority is to ensure the well-being and security of everyone at Haven House Retirement Center.

We want to emphatically reassure our residents that their rights, as well as their daily routines, remain completely unaffected by this temporary situation. Residents will continue to have the freedom to move within or out the building as they please. Each resident is provided with individual keys to access all doors.

For visitors, please note that while we are currently restricting general entry to enhance security, visits are still permitted. However, we kindly request that you call ahead to arrange your visit. Upon arrival, please use our main front door and ring the doorbell, and a staff member will assist you.

We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. We are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all.

Even though the calendar says February, we’re still smiling about the beautiful memories from our Haven House Christmas Party.

Our residents gathered together for laughter, music, sweet treats, and the kind of joy that makes this place feel like home. The holidays here aren’t just about decorations they’re about connection, friendship, and celebrating as one big family.

We’re so grateful for the moments we shared and for the residents and staff who make every season special at Haven House. ❤️

🍁🦃 Thanksgiving Craft Day at Haven House! 🦃🍁

Our residents spent the afternoon creating the most colorful, personality-packed turkeys you’ve ever seen and we can’t stop smiling at how they turned out!

With bright feathers, big googly eyes, and lots of laughter around the table, this was one of those simple moments that filled our whole home with joy. It’s amazing how a little creativity and good company can warm up a fall day.

We are so grateful for this wonderful community and the time we get to share together. 💛
