Today, we remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless families whose lives were forever changed.

Twenty-five years have passed, yet we have not forgotten the heartbreak of that day—or the extraordinary courage, compassion and unity that followed. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger, the everyday heroes who helped strangers, and all those who have carried the lasting wounds of September 11.

May we continue to remember the lives they lived, the loved ones they left behind and the spirit of unity that brought our nation together.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

To all families, guests and members of the community, please be aware that we are currently experiencing intermittent phone issues due to a Verizon service disruption caused by a damaged fiber line in Michigan. This may prevent some callers—particularly Verizon customers—from reaching Good Shepherd Home.

Unfortunately, the issue is outside of our control, but Verizon is aware of the disruption. We appreciate your patience and understanding while service is being restored.

Our next meeting of the Shepherd Family Alliance has been set!
This group has been developed by our Social Services Department to support family members as they navigate the journey of having a loved one in our care. The goal is to provide helpful coping strategies, along with tools and resources to make this time as smooth and manageable as possible. Just as importantly, it offers a chance to connect with others who truly understand what you’re experiencing—building a sense of community and support along the way.
While conversations may naturally include your loved ones, this group will not focus on the day-to-day operations of Good Shepherd Home. Instead, the focus is on you—providing encouragement, guidance, and support throughout your journey. Topics may include finances, loneliness, guilt, Alzheimer’s/dementia, and decision-making.
Any questions--please contact Cameron Corbin, LSW, Care Coordinator at 419-937-1801.

🌻🎶 A little sunshine, a lot of heart, and 13 concerts worth celebrating!

Congratulations to Good Shepherd Home’s resident choir, Hooked On Singing, on their 13th concert yesterday! With a cheerful sunflower theme, our singers shared the joy of music and brought a little extra sunshine to our community.

Thank you to each choir member for your hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm, and to director Karis Matz for her guidance, encouragement, and the care she puts into helping our choir shine. 💛

A special thank you goes to the staff who work behind the scenes each week—setting up chairs and equipment for rehearsals and helping every member get to and from practice. Your support makes these special moments possible!

And to everyone who came to listen and cheer on our singers: thank you for being part of their day. Your presence and applause mean so much! 🌻👏

Make sure to stop by tomorrow for our resident choir concert! 😎
