🌎✈️ Our residents had an unforgettable time on a cross-country adventure during our Traveling Activity: USA Edition! 🇺🇸

Without ever leaving Casa, they explored the country through fun state trivia, shared stories of places they've visited and called home, and enjoyed a delicious tasting tour featuring favorites from across America. From New York pretzels and California avocado toast to Maine whoopie pies, Boston cream pie, Texas tortilla chips, and more, every stop brought smiles and great memories.

To top it all off, residents sang along to patriotic tunes and took turns riding in our portable New York City taxi, making the day even more exciting!

It was a wonderful celebration of friendship, laughter, great food, and the joy of traveling together. ❤️🗽

🥊 Strength, determination, and teamwork were on full display during this week's Boxing Rx group with Tessa!

Our residents challenged themselves through fun, therapeutic exercises designed to improve dynamic balance in sitting and standing, endurance, strength, range of motion, hand-eye coordination, and safe sit-to-stand transfers. Even better, everyone encouraged one another at every step, creating an uplifting atmosphere that boosted both recovery and spirits.

We're so proud of this month's participants for their hard work, motivation, and support for one another! 💙

🇺🇸 What a wonderful way to celebrate Independence Day! Our residents and their families came together for an afternoon full of patriotic fun, delicious treats, and great company.

Everyone enjoyed corndogs, cupcakes, cookies, fresh fruit, and fruit punch while listening to festive patriotic music. The celebration also featured a special America's 250th Independence Trivia game, where residents had a great time testing their knowledge and sharing lots of laughs.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in making this Fourth of July celebration so memorable. Wishing everyone a happy, safe, and joyful Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙

Yesterday at the Callahan Senior Center in Framingham, we had a wonderful time creating colorful rainbow flower designs using buttons! 🌈🌸 The creativity, imagination, and artistic talent on display never cease to amaze us. 🎉 Congratulations, Ron! 🎉

Ron came to Casa de Ramana for short-term rehabilitation after a fall and a challenging hospital stay. Through determination and hard work with our PT, OT, and Speech Therapy teams, he made incredible progress over 8 weeks.

When Ron arrived, he could walk less than 5 feet and required assistance from two people. By discharge, he was walking 250 feet with supervision and had made significant improvements in both mobility and cognition. He also enjoyed participating in group therapy activities like boxing, yard games, and Jeopardy along the way.

When asked about his success, Ron shared:
"When I entered this rehab, I couldn't walk. After 2 months of therapy, I am walking out of this wonderful rehab! The therapists are human angels. I thought it would be impossible for me, but they proved me wrong. I am so happy now!"

When asked if he would return to Casa de Ramana, his answer was simple:
"Yes, yes, yes. You are the best!"

We are so proud of you, Ron, and wish you continued success on your recovery journey! ❤️

Congratulations to Leonard on his successful rehabilitation journey at Casa de Ramana! 🎉

After a fall that resulted in rib fractures, Leonard chose Casa de Ramana for short-term rehabilitation. Through hard work and determination, he partnered with our Physical and Occupational Therapy teams to manage pain, rebuild strength, and regain independence in daily activities, transfers, and mobility.

During his stay, Leonard participated in fall prevention and recovery training, explored assistive devices to find the best fit for his needs, and completed family training with his wife to ensure a safe transition home. He also learned adaptive strategies and home safety techniques to support his continued recovery.

In just one week, Leonard made remarkable progress and is now returning home with his wife, ready to continue his rehabilitation in the community.

When asked what he valued most about his experience, Leonard shared:
"I most valued the patience and professionalism that they showed me, and the sincere commitment to my rehab and wellbeing."

We are proud to have been part of Leonard's recovery and wish him continued success on his journey home! ❤️
