😮‍💨 That's 14,881 too many.
💔 I have lost a cousin & previous client to overdose - and other loved ones who's death was caused by addiction-but not overdose (endocarditis & liver failure). Still I have loved ones lost in the darkness of addiction, one who has survived countless overdoses and alcohol poisoning.
💜 This topic is hard and confusing. If you'd like to talk more about it, I'd love to help however I can.

Today is International Overdose Awareness Day💜Since DV8 Kitchen opened in 2017, 14,881 people have lost their lives to an overdose. While we are encouraged to see the numbers trending down in recent years, one life lost is too many. Please join us today in remembering and honoring those who are no longer with us.

Recovery Cafe done a great job putting together their first Overdose Awareness Walk & Reception! Saw our Mayor & Judge Executive there as well speaking and declaring August 31st as Overdose Awareness Day!

Shook some hands of community partners and shared the hope of Dry Bones Recovery raising money, getting a facility and opening our doors.

We're closer today than yesterday! But we can't do it alone.

Dry Bones Recovery (as well as our church family Crestwood Baptist Church) will be at the Overdose Awareness walk hosted by Recovery Cafe!

I ( Erin Hager ) am walking today for a client that lost his life to an overdose, and for my loved ones who have survived previous overdoses and are still lost in darkness.

If you have lost a loved one to an overdose, leave a heart below, their initials or name if you'd like, and I will walk for them, too. 💜

She had a heart for her community & the world 🌎
She was also fiercely female 🔥
What an inspiration to so many! Thank you for being an example and inspiration to so many, especially your fellow Christ followers. Until we meet in Heaven, I will be praying for those who mourn your loss. 💗

Big things are happening at Awake! 🎉 This Sunday, we’re celebrating 5 men and women as they graduate and take another step forward in their journey of transformation.

But we have a practical need: 15 new folding chairs for our Belong meetings. Some of our current chairs have fallen into disrepair, and with growing attendance, we want to make sure there’s a seat for everyone who comes to worship, hear testimonies, and celebrate.

Good Sunday morning! ☀️
In preparing my heart for worship (daily) I read my devotionals 📖 And listen to either Christine Caine , Craig Groeschel , or Steven Furtick (sometimes a combination of them). This morning, it was Christine! I simply love hearing her speak! 🔥
