Shari has dedicated 25 years to caring for the families and community we serve, and we are incredibly thankful for all of her hard work and compassion throughout the years.

🇺🇸On this Memorial Day, we remember once again that freedom has never been free. Today, we honor the men and women who gave their lives in the service of our nation, and all the veterans who have bravely served in our armed forces.

We were especially honored to have Congressman Jim Baird as the speaker at our annual Memorial Day service in downtown Frankfort. Congressman Baird is a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He has been the recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

Goodwin Funeral Home was represented today by Bill Miller, Dion Miller and Sue Swackhamer.

The Frankfort community is deeply grateful for the service and the sacrifices of our courageous veterans. 🇺🇸

Yesterday, Josh and his children completed the meaningful tradition of honoring every veteran laid to rest at Whiteman Cemetery by placing a flag on each grave.

The sacrifices made by our veterans are something we will always remember and deeply honor. Their service and dedication to our country should never be taken lightly, and we are grateful for the opportunity to pay tribute to them in this small but heartfelt way.

There are additional flags available by the cemetery sign for anyone who would like to place a flag on the grave of their veteran at Whiteman Cemetery.

You may recognize Sue from the Colfax area or from seeing her around Wesley Manor. She truly is one of the sweetest individuals, always thoughtful, caring, and ready to lend a helping hand.

We are so grateful to have Sue as part of our team. Her genuine kindness and dedication make a meaningful difference as we serve our community each day. 💙

Our Funeral Director, Josh Lee, is running to raise money for COACH Kids of Clinton County starting at 7am on May 9th. He will run 4.167 miles each hour until he can’t run anymore. We are challenging the businesses and members of our community to pledge any amount for each mile he runs. The pledges start at $0.10 and go up to whatever you would be comfortable with. Help us support him for this great cause. Feel free to respond to this post or reach out to us or Coach Kids directly. All pledges will be collected in the week following the event.
