Sneak peek! Coming soon! Red Light Therapy, Blue Light Therapy, and Halotherapy!

❤️ What red light therapy is used for:

* Fine lines and wrinkles — may stimulate collagen production over time
* Skin texture and elasticity
* Inflammation and redness — may have anti-inflammatory effects
* Wound/skin healing — depending on the device and treatment
* Acne-related inflammation
* Temporary muscle and joint discomfort
* Relaxation and general wellness

Blue light therapy uses a specific wavelength of blue light to affect cells in the skin or brain, depending on how it’s used. There are two main uses:

💙 Blue light for skin

In dermatology and esthetics, blue light is mainly used for acne. It can target Cutibacterium acnes, the bacteria associated with acne, and may help reduce breakouts and inflammation.

It can also sometimes be used as part of treatments for:

* Acne and oily skin
* Some inflammatory skin conditions
* Certain precancerous skin lesions when combined with a photosensitizing medication (photodynamic therapy)

💙 Blue/bright light for seasonal depression

You may also hear about bright-light therapy for SAD (seasonal affective disorder). However, that’s generally white light that contains blue wavelengths, rather than a blue-light-only device. A properly designed 10,000-lux light box is the more established treatment.

❤️ Blue vs. red light

* Blue light: primarily acne/bacteria and some dermatologic treatments
* Red/near-infrared light: more commonly used for inflammation, wound healing, and possibly collagen/skin-aging applications

Halotherapy is commonly promoted for:

* 🌬️ Congestion and mucus
* 🤧 Allergies and sinus symptoms
* 😮‍💨 Asthma and other breathing problems
* 🧴 Certain skin conditions, such as eczema
* 😌 Relaxation and stress reduction
