If you're 60 or older and have spent years singing, dancing, playing an instrument, telling jokes, or entertaining a crowd, we'd love to see you take the stage at the 8th Annual Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent Franklin.

Auditions are now underway, and we're looking for talented seniors who are ready to share their gifts, have fun, and step into the spotlight.

After all, talent doesn't retire. If you've got a talent and a little courage, this might be the year to share it.

In-person auditions are happening at local Morning Pointe Senior Living communities through August 20 or online through August 21.

☀️💧 When temperatures climb, staying cool and hydrated becomes especially important for older adults.

Older adults can be more vulnerable to heat-related illness because the body may not adjust as quickly to sudden temperature changes. During periods of extreme heat, here are a few important reminders:

💧 Drink fluids regularly throughout the day.
🏠 Spend time in cool, air-conditioned spaces.
👕 Choose lightweight, loose-fitting clothing.
☀️ Limit strenuous outdoor activity during extreme heat.
⚠️ Watch for signs of heat-related illness, including dizziness, weakness, nausea or confusion.

At Morning Pointe Senior Living, our teams are keeping the heat in mind, too. Hydration carts and refreshing drinks help encourage fluids throughout the day, while ice pops, ice cream socials and other cool treats offer fun ways to beat the summer heat indoors. ❤️🍦

As high temperatures continue across much of the Southeast, remember to check in on the older adults in your life and help them stay cool, comfortable and hydrated.

💪 A resident who once relied on a wheelchair can now walk 157 feet with a walker in two minutes.

With an individualized plan of care, consistent support, and in-house physical and occupational therapy, the resident gained strength and greater independence. Today, they can also independently manage dressing, self-care, toileting, and wheelchair use.

That progress means more than improved mobility. It means greater independence in everyday life. Stories like this are happening throughout Morning Pointe Senior Living, and they show why the right support, care, and encouragement can make such a meaningful difference.

🐱💕 Four tiny visitors made for one very sweet afternoon!

Animalia Health & Wellness brought four kittens to spend time with our residents, which meant plenty of cuddles, playtime, and smiles. There’s just something about having a kitten curl up in your arms that can brighten the day. 🐾🥰

As our Morning Pointe in Motion travels continue through Tokyo, residents explored Japanese culture by decorating their own traditional-style fans. After learning about the long history of fans in Japan, everyone chose their own colors, patterns, flowers, and designs to make each one unique. 🎨🇯🇵

It’s another fun way our virtual travels inspire hands-on experiences throughout the month.

Our residents spent time decorating bandanas that will be donated to dogs at a local animal shelter. Every design was made with care, adding a little extra color and love for pups waiting to meet their forever families. We hope these handmade creations brighten a few tails and help make a great first impression!

Auditions are now open for the 8th Annual Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent Franklin.

Open to all seniors age 60 and older, this beloved event is more than a performance. It's a chance to reconnect with a passion, share a talent, and do something that brings joy.

Choose the audition option that works best for you! In-person auditions begin August 18 at local Morning Pointe Senior Living communities through August 20. Online auditions are also available now through August 21.
