Mindful Movement Therapy

Mindful Movement Therapy Specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. Offering individual & family therapy. However, you have found me, I am excited to start this journey together!

Mindful + Movement
Being in the presence of your life means being conscious - being aware of your thoughts, emotions, choices, and body sensations - but in an intentional, present kind of way. It means choosing your path mindfully and knowing that healing is not linear. It’s having an awareness that any conscious movement no matter how small, it is movement bringing you closer to transmuting what

no longer serves you. It’s the micromovements that allow us to move more comfortably through the healing journey and I am here to help you gracefully do this with empathy, compassion, and a knowing that alignment between body, mind, and soul helps us to become our most authentic self. As a clinical therapist, I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, athletes with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, women's health, and grief. At Mindful Movement, I offer individual and family sessions tailoring treatment to the unique needs of the client & family. In addition to the clinical practices at Mindful Movement, I also offer Life Coaching and Reiki sessions to those clients interested and can learn more on my website. The somatic approach to working with my clients energizes me most and so, if you are someone wanting to explore the mind + body + soul connection, we may be a good fit to working together. Along with my passion to working with clients, I am also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist - Consultant who is passionate about supervising, consulting, and educating other therapists, medical offices, and/or other allied health professionals about eating disorders.

Today, I join individuals, families, clinicians, and advocates around the world in raising awareness and fostering understanding surrounding all forms of eating disorders.

Eating disorders do not discriminate. They affect people of all ages, genders, body sizes, races, and backgrounds. Behind every diagnosis is a person deserving of compassion, support, and access to care.

Recovery is possible. Hope is real. And no one should have to navigate this journey alone.

On World Eating Disorders Action Day, let's continue to challenge stigma, promote education, advocate for treatment access, and remind those who are struggling that healing is possible.

You are not alone. 💜

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

A gentle reminder that your mind matters just as much as your body. Take time to rest, check in with yourself, and reach out if you need support. There’s strength in speaking up.

Let’s continue to break the stigma, show compassion, and remind one another: you are not alone.

Mindful Moment 🤍
Sometimes we move through the day on autopilot and forget to check in with ourselves.

Pause for a second. Breathe.
Ask yourself these simple questions—no judgment, just awareness.

You deserve care, nourishment, and support in every moment. 🌿

Mindful Moment 🤍
Healing doesn’t follow a straight path—and it’s not supposed to. Some days feel lighter, others feel heavy, but every step still counts.

Give yourself grace in the ups and downs. You’re still moving forward, even when it doesn’t feel like it. 🌿

Keep going.

Mindful Moment 🤍

Your thoughts are powerful—but they aren’t always true.

In recovery, it’s not about forcing positivity. It’s about gently noticing the thought… and choosing a more compassionate one.

You’re not “out of control”—you’re learning flexibility.
You didn’t “mess up”—your body is communicating with you.
You don’t need to earn nourishment—you deserve it, always.

Reframing takes practice. Be patient with yourself.

Save this for the moments when your thoughts feel loud.

Healing doesn’t always look like progress.
Sometimes it looks like resting. Slowing down. Trying again.

If today feels hard, that doesn’t mean you’re failing — it means you’re human.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You don’t have to earn nourishment.
You don’t have to rush your healing.

One step at a time is still forward. 🤍

Save this as a reminder for the days you need it most.

✨ Mindful Moment Friday ✨

Let’s talk about the importance of moving into your day mindfully.

How we begin our morning often sets the tone for everything that follows. When we slow down, even just a little, we create space for intention, clarity, and connection with ourselves before the world gets loud.

Here are a few gentle ways to start your morning with intention:
☀️ Read a passage from a meaningful book (I love Journey to the Heart)
☀️ Pull an inspiration or affirmation card
☀️ Sit quietly with your favorite morning drink (Heidi loves a good cup of matcha 🍵)
☀️ Listen to music that grounds or uplifts you
☀️ Take 10–15 minutes to journal your thoughts, feelings, or intentions

It doesn’t have to be perfect or long, just intentional.

💭 What do you do to start your morning mindfully?

🌿 Mindful Moment 🌿

There’s something quietly healing when we spend conscious time working on our grief. This week, I repotted these plants in memory of a loved one. I’m reminded that love, like a plant, grows when tended with patience and presence. Watching it thrive is a gentle way to hold them close. 💛

What is one way you showed up this week being MINDFUL?
