If you’re visiting Looking Ahead over the next few months, you may notice some construction in the hallway outside our clinic.

The building is undergoing updates through October, and our hallway is one of the areas being impacted. Please excuse the mess while the construction continues. We're choosing to view it like a toddler's playroom at the end of the day: a little chaotic, but it won't stay this way forever.

Thank you for your patience! We look forward to seeing you soon! If you have any questions before your appointment, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

What looks like playing with babies is really us working on neck range of motion, core strength, and building the balance and coordination they need for their next milestone. We just happen to do it through play because that's how babies and toddlers learn best.

Of course, the giggles and smiles are an extra bonus and one of the best parts of our job!

Curious what a session might look like for your little one? We'd love to show you! No referral needed. Call our office or schedule through the link in our bio.

Flat spots and head shape concerns are one of the most common reasons families come to see us. We always tell parents: the earlier you come in for an assessment, the better! Since we treat the underlying cause of flat spots, most babies who start early with us never need a helmet. If your MD/NP mentioned a flat spot, don't "wait and see"! We're here for you, and this is our specialty.

This is what a collaborative, parent-first approach looks like in practice. You are not just a spectator here. You are part of the team from day one!

Rolling is one of the first big motor development milestones, but it's also one of the most commonly missed.

If your baby isn't rolling yet, try these three things at home first. Sometimes they just need a little opportunity and the right motivation to make it happen.

If your baby is not rolling by 6 months or you notice they consistently favor turning to one side, that is worth a closer look. It could be a sign of tightness or weakness that we can help with! If you have questions about your baby's milestones, call our office or click the link in our bio to schedule an appointment.

One of the most common things parents do with great intentions is ask a lot of questions. 💬 "What's that?" "What does the dog say?" "Can you say ball?" Questions are wonderful, but what works even better for early language development is labeling, narrating, and repeating!

The way you talk to your baby during bath time, mealtimes, and car rides shapes their language more than any app or flashcard. You are already doing the work!

Questions about your little one's speech? Book with our SLP through the link in bio. No referral needed 💬

Our clinic is tucked toward the back of the business park, which can make us a little tricky to find on your first visit. So we’re showing you exactly where to go, from the front of the building all the way to our door.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Looking Ahead Pediatric Therapies. ✨

When an infant spends too much time in a "container," it limits their ability to move and explore their environment. Our babies learn and grow through movement! Placing them in containers throughout the majority of the day can limit motor, visual, and sensory development, and can put your baby at a higher risk for developing flat head syndrome and motor skill difficulties.

We understand that sometimes you need a safe place to place your baby while you shower, cook, or entertain a toddler! Sometimes the containers are necessary and helpful tools. Just be mindful of how long your baby spends in one throughout the day!

Instead, try opting for a Pack 'n Play or a play yard when you need a safe place for your baby. And don’t forget about floor time!
