September is Recovery Awareness Month, but awareness without action only goes so far.

What if Recovery Awareness Month actually required us to DO something?

Invite someone to a recovery meeting. Offer a ride. Check on the family walking through it too. Support the people and organizations doing the work year round. Hire someone who needs a second chance. Share actual resources. Reach out when somebody disappears. Listen without judging. Celebrate the people putting in the work to rebuild their lives.

Pray for them, absolutely. But then be the hands and feet.

Recovery needs more than a color, a ribbon, a hashtag or a month on the calendar.

Don’t just tell people recovery is possible. Help make recovery possible.

Join us tonight at 6 PM as we close out Step 8- Willing to Take Responsibility
Week 3- Ready to Make Things Right.

Step 8 isn't about rushing to fix everything we've broken. It's about becoming willing.

We've learned that Christ can restore what our destructive choices broke, and identified the people our destructive choices may have harmed.

Now comes, not the hard work, but the HEART work: God, teach me Your will. Show me MY part. Make me willing to follow where You lead with grace and humility.

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!”
Psalm 143:10 ESV

Whosoever is a Christ-centered recovery and discipleship ministry for anyone dealing with the messy parts of life, not just drug or alcohol addiction.

It’s for the person struggling with addiction, but it’s also for the person dealing with anger, grief, shame, trauma, codependency, po*******hy, people pleasing, church hurt, broken relationships, destructive habits, or simply patterns they know are keeping them stuck.

The name comes from John 12:46 KJV:

“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.”

That’s really the heart of Whosoever. You don’t have to clean yourself up before you come. Whosoever means WHOSOEVER.

We use the 12 Steps, but the Steps aren't the answer. Jesus is. The Steps simply give us a practical way to walk through Scripture, recognize the things keeping us in darkness, take responsibility for our choices, experience the grace of Christ, and learn how to live differently.

Whosoever is an extra layer of discipleship for people who need somewhere safe to work through real-life struggles while learning to open the Bible and seek Christ for themselves. Every lesson is rooted in Scripture because the goal isn't just sobriety or better behavior. The goal is knowing Jesus. Recovery is the fruit of that relationship.

And that's why the picture says HOPE DEALER. We're not dealing shame. We're not dealing condemnation. We're pointing people toward the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Whosoever is for the addicted, the hurting, the grieving, the struggling, the stuck, the rebuilding, and anybody else who needs the Light.

Because whosoever includes all of us.

Tomorrow night at 6 PM, we’re continuing our journey through Step 8: Willing to Take Responsibility at Whosoever Recovery.

This week we’re talking about identifying those we have harmed. Sometimes the hardest part of recovery isn’t admitting what happened to us. It’s being willing to look honestly at how our own destructive choices affected the people around us.

This isn’t about shame, beating ourselves up, or getting stuck in regret. It’s about allowing the grace of Jesus to make us honest enough to take responsibility. Intent doesn’t erase impact. We may not have meant to hurt people, but healing begins when we’re willing to acknowledge where we did.

Whether you’re walking through recovery yourself, supporting someone you love, or you simply know there are some things in your life Jesus is working on, you are welcome.

Tonight at 6 PM, we're starting our journey through Step 8: Willing to Take Responsibility.

Tonight we'll begin with our lesson: Christ Can Restore What Was Broken.

Taking responsibility isn't about living in guilt or shame. It's about becoming willing to honestly recognize how our destructive choices have affected the people around us while trusting that the damage is never greater than the grace and restoring power of Jesus Christ.

This isn't about fixing everything tonight. It's about allowing Christ to show us the truth and trusting Him with what comes next.

Whether recovery is part of your story, you love someone walking through it, or you simply need a place to grow closer to Jesus, you are welcome at the table.

💜 Overdose Awareness Month 💜

Every purple ribbon represents a story.

A son. A daughter. A mom. A dad. A friend.

Some are celebrating another day of sobriety. Others are carrying the unbearable weight of an empty chair.

At Whosoever Recovery, we refuse to believe that anyone is beyond the reach of God's grace.

Addiction does not get the final word. Shame does not get the final word. Relapse does not get the final word. Death does not get the final word.

Jesus does.

If you're still breathing, there is still hope. There is still purpose. There is still a Savior who said, "I have come as a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness." (John 12:46, KJV)

This month we remember those we've lost, pray for the families left behind, celebrate every life being restored, and fight for every person still trapped in darkness.

If you're struggling today, don't isolate. Reach out. Let someone stand with you.

You are loved. You are not forgotten. And by the grace of God, your story is not over.

Whosoever Recovery Leading people out of the darkness of sin and destructive choices into the life-changing Light of Jesus Christ.
