If you’ve experienced Brainspotting, you may have noticed moments when your therapist is quiet. That’s not because nothing is happening, this is because your brain is doing the work.

Brainspotting is used to help process experiences stored deep in the brain and nervous system. These quiet moments create space for your natural healing processes to work without needing to explain every feeling.

Sometimes, healing looks less like talking and more like allowing yourself to be present with what comes up.

When your nervous system feels overwhelmed, it can feel impossible to fully relax, slow down, or feel safe in your own body. You may notice yourself becoming emotionally reactive, constantly exhausted, disconnected, anxious, overstimulated, or stuck in survival mode without fully understanding why.

These responses are not signs of weakness. They are often signs that your mind and body have been carrying stress for too long.

EMDR therapy can help the nervous system process overwhelming experiences so the body no longer feels like it has to stay in fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown mode to stay protected.

Healing begins when the nervous system finally gets the chance to feel safe again!

Sometimes the most important thing we can do is pause long enough to notice how we’re really doing. Your mental health deserves attention, care, and compassion, not just on the hard days, but every day!

Take a few moments today to check in with yourself:
✨ Pause
✨ Notice what’s coming up emotionally
✨ Check in with your body
✨ Identify what you need
✨ Give yourself one small act of care

You do not have to have everything figured out today. Small moments of awareness and self-care matter more than you think!

Pride Month is a reminder that mental health care should be a space where every person feels seen, safe, and accepted exactly as they are.

LGBTQ+ individuals face higher rates of anxiety, depression, trauma, and discrimination — not because of who they are, but because of the environments and experiences they often have to navigate. Affirming support, community, and therapy can make a powerful difference in healing and well-being.

This month and every month, we stand for compassion, inclusivity, and mental health support for all.

Your mind and body are constantly communicating with you, sometimes we just need to slow down enough to listen.

This Monday, take a moment to check in with yourself. What do you need more of today? Rest? Movement? Fresh air? Positive self-talk?

Your mental health deserves the same care and attention as your physical health. Taking time to check in with both your mind and body can help you feel more balanced, supported, and grounded throughout the week.

Healing is often portrayed as a straight path forward, but growth can feel messy, emotional, exhausting, and slow at times.

Some days it looks like setting boundaries, asking for help, resting more, or simply responding differently than you would have before.

Hard days don’t erase progress. The goal for healing is not perfection, it’s learning, processing, and moving forward with more awareness and self-compassion along the way.

OCD is one of the most misunderstood mental health conditions.
It’s not just about being clean, organized, or “particular.” OCD involves intrusive thoughts, anxiety, fear, and compulsions that can feel overwhelming and exhausting to live with every single day.

The more we challenge stereotypes and spread accurate information, the more we help reduce shame and stigma surrounding OCD.

Swipe through to separate myths from facts and help create a better understanding of what OCD really is.

Injury recovery doesn’t end when you’re cleared to move again. That’s just the part everyone sees. What often gets missed is everything that happens underneath it.

The frustration of not being able to do what you used to. Hesitation before certain movements. The loss of confidence. The fear of re-injury or of the pain returning.

Recovery is physical, but it’s also emotional, cognitive and deeply personal. Real recovery comes as you learn to feel strong in your body again, even after it’s been through something that changed you.

What if the belief that you’re not good enough no longer felt true? EMDR helps the brain reprocess painful experiences that may be the root of negative beliefs.

As these memories are processed, the emotional charge begins to lessen, and those beliefs can shift into healthier truths.

Healing doesn’t erase the past, but it can change the way you see yourself and help you move forward with greater confidence and peace.
