It’s a great day for hockey at the Checking the Stigma Classic Tournament at Skate Frederick. Thanks to the Old Fat Bald Guys Hockey for bringing awareness to mental health and supporting MHA.

A special shout out to MHA Board Members Matt Goodwin and Scott McCaskill for their commitment to MHA and their not so bad hockey skills.

Filing past due taxes can feel overwhelming — but you don’t have to do it alone. 💙

This June, United Way of Frederick County’s FREE VITA Back Tax Clinics will help local households file prior-year tax returns for 2020-2025 and claim refunds they may still be owed for 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Whether you’re behind on filing, unsure where to start, or looking for guidance on available tax credits, our trained volunteers are here to help.

Schedule your appointment today for early June. To schedule or learn more, visit unitedwayfrederick.org/taxprep.

If you have lost a loved one to su***de, you are not alone.

It is common for su***de survivors to experience severe grief, guilt, anger, depression, forgetfulness and even thoughts of su***de themselves. You may even experience physical symptoms such as headaches, loss of appetite and the inability to sleep. Often survivors find help by meeting with others who have been through a similar experience.

Our Survivors of Su***de Support Group is:
• A way to share your loss with others and receive support from those who have been there
• A safe place to share experiences and support each other on a journey toward healing
• Led by a peer facilitator who has also experienced loss to su***de
