✨ Menopause is not a fad.
✨ Perimenopause is not “just a phase.”
For many women, this season is a profound biopsychosocial transition — impacting the body, the nervous system, identity, relationships, emotional regulation, energy levels, sleep, cognition, and overall sense of self.
So while some may say menopause is “having a moment,” those of us living through it know this is not about trends. It is about transformation.
Perimenopause and menopause often ask us to become deeply intentional. They invite us to slow down, listen inward, reevaluate boundaries, and notice how we have been caring for everyone else while sometimes abandoning ourselves in the process.
Clinically, we know hormonal shifts can influence mood, anxiety, sensory sensitivity, memory, fatigue, and stress tolerance. But beyond the science, there is also a very human experience happening underneath it all — grief, awakening, vulnerability, empowerment, exhaustion, clarity, and the longing to feel understood. 🤍
This transition does not happen in isolation. It affects our partnerships, parenting, friendships, work life, communication patterns, intimacy, and the way we show up in the world.
May you have people beside you who respond with curiosity instead of criticism.
May you have relationships where honesty about your experience is met with compassion, not dismissal. 🤍
And perhaps most importantly, may you learn to meet yourself with gentleness through the changes.
Because maybe perimenopause and menopause are not simply endings to endure…
Maybe they are invitations to return home to yourself. 🌿
To rediscover your voice.
To honor your limits.
To reconnect with your needs.
To ask yourself who and what truly belongs in this next chapter of your life.
And when you look around, may you find people willing to walk beside the most authentic version of you. ✨
Thank you Sass Magazine for the opportunity to continue to raise awareness and reach women so they understand (normalize) what is happening in midlife 💛😌
