Congratulations to our therapist and founder, Katherine Blake! After completing over 5,000 hours of counseling experience working in children's mental health, she is officially a licensed clinical professional counselor (or LCPC). This achievement reflects an incredible amount of hard work and dedication, towards making a difference in the lives of the kids she serves. Way to go Katherine!

🌈Happy Pride! Come join us next week for the Pride Parade on Friday, June 26th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in downtown Frederick.

We will also have a booth at the Frederick Pride Festival on Saturday, June 27th from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Look for us near the food area by the Amphitheatre Stage on Carroll Creek (across from the C. Burr Artz Library). We will have games and prizes for children and their families.

Hello friends! Is your child in the midst of an anxiety or panic attack? Do they get easily overwhelmed by intense emotions, or struggle when they experience uncomfortable physical symptoms when distressed?

If so, I recommend trying this technique from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This useful "T.I.P.P." teaches your child how to better regulate their intense emotions by changing their body and brain chemistry. Give it a try!
