I’ve woken up in a bad mood more days than good in the last week or so.
I know it’s all a mindset thing due to so many positive things happening for me right now.
But work stress, financial stress, and perimenopause weight gain (that’s what I’m blaming) have really taken a toll.
What am I doing to combat the p**s poor attitude??
Sticking to daily activities that fill my soul and keep me goal oriented.
I have choices to make every day even when I wake up feeling sh*tty.
Deliberate, conscious choices to do things that I know are good for me and have pulled me out of dark spaces before.
For me, this includes :
Morning quiet coffee
A brisk, weighted walk,
a good gym session,
and some light thrifting. All before work
When I forego these decisions, I know I’ll feel worse
And I don’t always listen to the inner voice that motivates me to get up and get moving.
Some times the negative thoughts win.
But the more I stay consistent , the more the weights go up on the barbell, and the more intentional quiet times I take, the more I start to feel better.
It’s not a race to some finale with a checkered flag.
It’s deliberate care for my mind, body, and soul.
Recovery is possible. One day at a time.
YOU are the most important person in your life.
