🤗This summer at Knopp Healthcare has highlighted so many reasons to be grateful and always find ways to come together to celebrate! As August progresses, our residents enjoyed a little celebration of their own! They had a playful water gun fight, spent relaxing times on the porch, and reflected on this life we all cherish, together.

Our team works tirelessly to provide the highest standard of care. We also think about the little things that make each chapter of life as meaningful as possible. We consistently offer opportunities for our wonderful residents to participate, connect, and enjoy each day in ways that foster a space of love, dignity, and genuine fulfillment. With the kiddos heading back to school and parents adjusting to new routines, as well as the Gillespie County Fair and other local events on the horizon, we’re all feeling the excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead.🎟️
We look forward to enjoying what makes our small town community so special, together.🫂

🎡August has arrived in Fredericksburg, and that means it is time for the Knopp Healthcare Monthly Calendar!
We are excited to post about the variety of social and health activities that our residents can mark on their calendar in order to stay healthy and connected!🤗

From daily coffee socials, to games and movies, to therapeutic musical performances. From multiple exercise classes, to spiritual worship and healing activities, there is always something for everyone to enjoy!📆

❤️Every now and then, we get the opportunity to experience something completely out of the ordinary, and this was certainly one of those moments here at Knopp Healthcare.
🐍 Our residents enjoyed a unique visit from some beautiful albino yellow pythons, giving everyone the chance to see, touch, and even hold these gentle animals up close. For a few, there was a little hesitation at first, but then curiosity took the lead. It quickly became more about embracing a new experiences together with open minds and adventurous spirits.
Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to welcome many wonderful animal therapy visits, from alpacas to our own beloved companion dog, Koe. These remarkable animals created an opportunity to engage the senses in a way many had never experienced before, reminding us that meaningful moments can come from the most unexpected places.
🤗We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this special visit possible and for giving our residents another memorable adventure to share with you all here.💛🐍

🍰During our Fourth of July week of fun at Knopp Healthcare there was one event that needed its own post because of how hilariously funny it was. A Pie in the face challenge organized by our team with volunteers to take a pie in the face from willing residents.🤣

🌞Recently at Knopp Healthcare, while everyone was enjoying all the Fourth of July festivities around town, we were creating some unforgettable memories of our own. 🇺🇸☀️💦

During our exciting event “Splashfest” a classic water gun fight brought out everyone’s playful side! It you remember just how much fun those watergun battles were growing up, you’ll understand exactly what we mean, even including a little bit of good old fashion mischief.🔫😉

The celebration of that wholesome summer feeling we all remember continued with our residents cooling off under classic backyard sprinklers, enjoying the sunshine, and making memories together. 🤗

These experiences reflect part of who we are here at Knopp Healthcare. Where every chapter of life deserves joy, connection, and moments worth remembering.

🥳Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Knopp Healthcare and Votive Hospice! We had so much fun during our Father’s Day appreciation events this week honoring the remarkable men of importance to us all, the Dad’s.
It was a wonderful time grilling on the porch, enjoying the sunshine, enjoying the grilled food and grill smoke, and plenty of great conversations with such great characters.🤗
We also want to express our deepest gratitude to Hill Country Propane for their generosity. When they learned that we were refilling for our Father’s Day cookout, they insisted on donating the propane. It’s wonderful to see another family owned local business supporting that small town heart of our community.🙌

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have shaped all of our lives. They are that steady hand on the bike seat behind us, letting us know that they truly support and want what’s best for us and all of our families, always.❤️

Recently, we had a beautiful🪴Gardening Day over at Knopp Healthcare Assisted Living! Activities Director Monday Rusk coordinated this lovely earth, soil, and plant repotting experience. With early summer in full bloom, getting hands in the soil was a heartwarming, playful, and grounding experience for everyone attending. 🥰
Residents enjoyed repotting plants and flowers, painting little pots and spending time together. Their craft creations were placed out in the lovely sunshine, surrounded by the lush green we've been blessed with after some rain this year all on the patio soaking up those fresh early summer rays.🤗
Garden days are a special afternoon. Qouting Knopp’s Exceptional Activity Director Monday Rusk: "Gardening is what makes the ladies happy!"

🍔Recently at Knopp Healthcare, we celebrated National Hamburger Day! Everyone had the chance to gather outside on the patio, with the grills going and the burgers sizzling and it was such a pretty day.🌞🙌We’re so thankful for our team, they really went the extra mile and made sure our residents had the opportunity, mobility or otherwise, to get out on the patio and just enjoy the time together celebrating this yearly holiday😝🍔.
They embody such honor in their standards of care and continually go above and beyond towards our residents here at Knopp’s.

There’s something about having a burger, on the patio, at the place you call home. It was special, and a burger is always worth celebrating to us.💫
