☀️ Nothing says summer quite like burgers and milkshakes! Our weekly lunch outing this week took us to Freddy’s for some steak burgers and shakes. We were lucky enough to have some of our families come too!🍔🥤

Community outings help our residents stay connected to the town in which they lived and provide a great social outlet and a time for family and friends to connect. Families are always welcome to join us on our weekly outings. Sign ups are available at the front desk.

Our Cottage crew had a wonderful time getting creative with balloon painting! 🎈🎨

Art activities like this are more than just fun—they encourage self-expression, stimulate the senses, support fine motor skills, and can help reduce stress and anxiety for those living with dementia. Most importantly, they provide opportunities to create, connect, and enjoy the moment together.

We love seeing the smiles, laughter, and unique masterpieces that come from these special activities! ❤️

Rolling up smiles - one cinnamon bun at a time! 👩‍🍳 Baking is more than a fun past time time. It offers physical, cognitive, social, and sensory benefits that contribute to overall well-being.

When baking as part of a group, it is both meaningful and therapeutic, helping residents recall favorite kitchen traditions, supporting attention and concentration, promoting fine motor skills and dexterity, and strengthening relationships.

Cottage Week wrapped up in Great Gatsby style! 🎉 We brought the glitz and glamour, channeling 1920s elegance with bow ties and feather headbands. ✨ Such a fancy celebration—“even the bee’s knees” were there! 🐝🥂 Events like this help our residents experience “moments of joy” in keeping in line with our Cottage philosophy.
