It is a privilege to care for your children and we appreciate your trust. We love taking care of children and helping families grow healthy and strong. This enthusiasm shows in everything we do. If you call KidsChoice we answer the phone! There are no voice menus or mailboxes asking you to leave a message. Our staff is courteous and helpful. Same day appointments are no problem as we leave several

openings in our daily schedule to accommodate sick patients. Our phone messages always receive a same day reply. When you arrive at KidsChoice you'll be greeted with a smile. Lisa and Christina have been at KidsChoice for several years and they are friendly, efficient and helpful. Lisa does all of our billing. It's never outsourced to a third party. This allows us to make sure your bills are accurate and submitted to insurance in a timely manner. It also means that if you have a question or problem with a bill- we can help you! At KidsChoice we don't cut corners on quality. Our clinical staff is highly trained with years of pediatric experience. Deborah our nurse manager and Ashley our MA are very experienced in pediatrics and great with your kids. They provide phone triage services, phone advice, take histories, ready patients for exams, obtain drug pre-authorizations, provide immunizations, and so much more. But most of all they have a lot of fun working with your kids! Dr Richman is smart, dedicated and caring. She's also a mom who understands the pressures and concerns of today's families. She has over 35 years of personal and professional experience in caring for children. From colds, coughs, potty training problems, breastfeeding advice, well child care and the occasional bead up the nose, she's practically seen it all. You can be confident that your child will receive excellent care at KidsChoice. We want your family to feel comfortable with both our staff and our office environment. Our office is bright and child friendly with whimsical and fun themed rooms. It's important to us that parents feel their opinions are valued, their questions answered and their concerns are addressed. Our practice wants you to be an active participant in your child's healthcare. Our greatest joy is helping families grow vibrant and strong. Simple rules to protect your family from sunburns:
☂️Keep babies younger than 6 months out of direct sunlight. Find shade under a tree, an umbrella, or the stroller canopy.
👕Dress yourself and your children in cool, comfortable clothing that covers the body when possible. Think lightweight cotton pants, long-sleeved shirts and hats.

Select clothes made with a tight weave, which protect better than clothes with a looser weave.
(Tip: If you're not sure how tight a fabric's weave is, hold it up to see how much light shines through. The less light, the better. Or you can look for protective clothing labeled with an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF).)
👒Wear a hat with an all-around 3-inch brim to shield the face, ears, and back of the neck.
☀️Limit your sun exposure between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., when UV rays are strongest.
🕶️Wear sunglasses with at least 99% UV protection. Look for youth-sized sunglasses with UV protection for your child.
🧴🧴Use sunscreen!!🧴 🧴

Make sure everyone in your family knows how to protect their skin and eyes. Remember to set a good example by practicing sun safety yourself.

Memorial Day weekend means that most pools are open and many families will be traveling to water adjacent destinations:
The following tips are layers of protection that will help your family stay safe in, on and around the water:

🌊Do your part, be water smart! Ensure that everyone in the family learns to swim well.

🏊Adults: actively supervise children; stay within arm’s reach of young children and newer swimmers. And kids: follow the rules.

☀️Don’t fool with a pool: fence it in. Enclose your pool and spa with four-sided, four-foot fencing and use self-closing, self-latching gates.

🛟Swim as a pair near a lifeguard’s chair - everyone, including experienced swimmers, should swim with a buddy in areas protected by lifeguards.

🤕Reach or throw, don't go! Know what to do to help someone in trouble, without endangering yourself; know how and when to call 9-1-1; and know CPR.

🦺Don’t just pack it; wear your U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket – always when on a boat and if in a situation beyond your skill level. Inflatable children’s toys and water wings can be fun, but they are no substitute for a life jacket and adult supervision.
