Our residents enjoy being creative while listening to their favorite tunes together. Along with a wooden marker project, we tried something new called Scratch Art. This was a no mess project with beautiful colors, different tools to choose from, and helped all level of artists feel successful. It can be very relaxing. Give it a try.

🍽️🧠💙 A Meaningful Lunch Out at Allaire Rehab and Nursing! 💙🧠🍽️

Yesterday, our residents enjoyed a lunch outing that offered much more than a meal! While dining out, they practiced cognitive stimulation, menu-ordering skills, and social skills in a fun, engaging setting. 😊

While waiting for their orders, residents also enjoyed some trivia to test their knowledge! 🧠🎉 The outing gave everyone an opportunity to interact, get to know each other on a more personal level, tell their stories, and share memories of past hobbies.

It was a wonderful day filled with conversation, learning, laughter, and meaningful connection! 💙✨

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has funded The Furry Friends Project, which provides Joy for All Robotic Companion Pets. These pets offer proven psychosocial benefits to seniors and other at-risk populations. We are excited to announce that Allaire has been selected to participate. The allotted number of dogs and cats will selectively be given to our residents. Our Recreation Director is managing this year-long program. At the end of each month, the paired pets will have “Pet Spa Day”, wherein the Recreation team will follow cleaning protocols as directed. Here are a few photos from the first round that were given out today. They were a big surprise and caused big smiles. A few were given names. The weight on their lap, soft fur, lifelike movements, the purring and barking sounds; seemed so comforting. They certainly did bring Joy For All today.
