We got out ahead of the rain today for a wonderful meal together at the Manalapan Diner. There were so many good choices on the menu, but we specifically came here for the Greek selections for one of our residents. The group enjoyed the atmosphere, the yummy food, and chatter around the table. Stay cool out there everyone and have a great weekend!

Allaire Rehab & Nursing hosted a joint event with MOCEANS Center for Independent Living, welcoming Moceans members to experience the program and building. 🍦💛 Guests enjoyed an ice cream and cheesecake bar with candy toppings, along with a refreshing lemonade stand.

Residents had the opportunity to mingle with Moceans members, many of whom are young adults from across New Jersey, especially Monmouth and Ocean counties, and new friendships were made throughout the event. MOCEANS is a nonprofit organization in Long Branch, NJ that empowers people with disabilities to live independently through skills training, advocacy, peer support, information, referrals, and resources for needs such as personal assistance, housing, and transportation. Established in 1989, MOCEANS helps individuals build skills, remove barriers, and connect with community resources to live life on their own terms. ✨

Who needs Barnes and Noble when you can enjoy browsing The Book Garden and stop for Dunkin! Our readers had a wonderful outing today. Everyone chose 3 or more books and then their drink of choice to snuggle up for a good read. We left with 2 boxes full of interesting and very individually different types of books. Great conversation and it was a beautiful day for a ride.
