The former Bridgeport athlete helped build the Freeland SportsZone, brought artificial turf to the high school, and constructed the fieldhouse, press box and weight room over nearly 50 years in the community.

We're so happy to share that Dr. Sarah's surgery went very well! She is now home and recovering comfortably.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who reached out with prayers, kind words, well wishes, and concern. Your support has meant so much to Dr. Sarah and all of us during this time.

She is focusing on rest and healing, and we're grateful for the excellent care she received and for such a positive outcome. We appreciate your continued thoughts as she recovers, and we look forward to welcoming her back when she's ready.

☀️ We're halfway through summer already! Before you know it, the school bells will be ringing again. 📚🎒

Now is the perfect time to start thinking about your child's backpack—and more importantly, their spine health!

A backpack that's too heavy or worn incorrectly can contribute to poor posture, neck and back pain, and unnecessary stress on a growing spine.

Here are a few quick backpack safety tips:
🎒 Choose a backpack with wide, padded shoulder straps.
🎒 Make sure your child uses both shoulder straps—one-strap carrying puts uneven stress on the spine.
🎒 Keep the backpack's weight to no more than 10–15% of your child's body weight.
🎒 Pack the heaviest items closest to the back and only carry what's needed each day.

As you tackle those back-to-school shopping lists, don't forget to add a spinal check-up! A chiropractic evaluation can help ensure your child is starting the school year with good posture, proper alignment, and the best foundation for learning and growing.
