🌑 New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo.

Eclipses don't ease you in. They arrive and they shift things — sometimes dramatically smacking you in the face, sometimes in ways you won't understand until months from now.

Leo rules the heart. Creativity. The courage to be seen. The confidence to take up space and not apologize for it.

So tonight's question isn't soft. Tonight's question is:

What permission have you been waiting for to begin whatever it may be?

Not from other people, though tempting and instinctual. From yourself.

Because that permission isn't coming from anywhere else. It was always yours. Give yourself permission to begin. 🌑✨

Lion's Gate is peaking this week and everyone's posting about portals and downloads and cosmic alignment.

Here's my version: you don't need a portal to open. You need permission to want more without apologizing for it.

Leo season isn't subtle, it is represented by a powerful lion afterall. It doesn't do quiet ambition or secret dreams you're too embarrassed to say out loud. It asks you to actually want the thing — visibly, unapologetically — instead of performing humility about it. It's "Main Character" energy!

So what do you actually want? Not the safe version. The real one.

"I'm very mentally ill and have a lot of uncovered trauma I've been slowly working through, and while my spirituality and coven have helped a lot, I definitely need a professional lol"

People think shadow work means digging up your trauma and staring at it until it hurts less.

That's not it.

Shadow work is about the parts of you that learned to hide because hiding kept you safe once. The people-pleasing. The over-functioning. The "I'm fine." Those aren't flaws to eliminate — they're strategies that worked, until they didn't.

You don't heal by fighting your shadow. You heal by finally introducing yourself to it.

A grounding ritual for when your brain won't stop spinning.

Not everything needs candles or a full moon. Sometimes it's just this:

Name 5 things you can see. 4 you can touch. 3 you can hear. 2 you can smell. 1 you can taste.

That's it. That's the whole working. You're not doing something new — you're just remembering you have a body, and it's been here with you this whole time.

I use this with clients constantly. I use it myself. Being the one who holds the space doesn't mean I don't need my own tools.

Here's a small practice I come back to — an intention jar.

Grab any jar. Write one intention for August on a small piece of paper — not a resolution, not a to-do list, just one true thing you want to move toward. Fold it, drop it in.

Don't reread it right away. Just let it sit.

Every month, add another. By December you'll have five small truths from a version of you that was paying attention.

🌕 Full Moon in Capricorn — here's a ritual if you want one.

Capricorn doesn't release things dramatically. It releases with intention. So tonight, skip the big performance and try this instead:

Write down one thing you've been carrying alone — a belief, a pattern, a "should." Something like: "I have to figure this out by myself." Read it out loud once. Then burn it, tear it up, or just close the notebook.

That's it. You don't need a full altar setup. You just need the honesty.

I'll add — I've been sitting with my own version of that lately. The belief that healing has to happen alone, in private, with no witnesses. I don't buy that anymore.
