What is the difference between a funeral, a memorial service, and a celebration of life?

**Funeral service:** Typically held with the body present, within days of passing. Can be religious or non-religious.

**Memorial service:** Held without the body present — common when cremation has taken place or when family needs more time to gather.

**Celebration of life:** A less formal gathering honoring the personality, passions, and legacy of the person who passed. Can be held weeks or months later.

There is no single right choice. We help families decide what feels right for them.
