This year marks the 18th annual Think Pink celebration at Washington Health, honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with education, support, and community connection. Survivors, providers, and community members will gather on Oct. 15 from 5–7 p.m. at the Tent Atrium at Washington West for an evening of resources, expert speakers, and shared stories of hope. The event is open to all and no registration is required.

A Heat Advisory is in effect through Thursday. Extreme heat can quickly lead to heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day and check on those who may be especially vulnerable.

A Heat Advisory is in effect this week through Thursday. With temperatures expected to rise in the mid-90s to near 106, we encourage residents to take precautions and beat the heat!

City facilities will remain open during regular business hours for residents looking for a place to stay cool. Pets are welcome at City facilities when accompanied by their owners and kept on a leash or secured in a crate.

Heat Safety Tips:
• Stay Hydrated.
• Limit Outdoor Activity.
• Never Leave Children or Pets in Cars.
• Check on Vulnerable Individuals.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and take appropriate precautions as temperatures remain elevated through Thursday. Taking simple steps to stay cool and checking on those around you can help keep our community safe during periods of extreme heat.
