Medical Explorers Post 539 Medical Explorers meetings are on the fourth Thursday of every month (Sept-May) from 6-7pm. Medical Explorers is sponsored by Washington Hospital.

Founded in 1967 by Richard Wood M.D., Medical Explorers Post 539 has been helping young and aspiring students within the Washington Township Health Care District Community for more than 40 years. Explorers attend lectures and demonstrations by Washington Hospital Medical Staff and other health care professionals in our community. Explorers also have opportunities to attend field trips and tours to

medical facilities, as well as directly observce doctors and other Washington Hospital staff in job shadows. Our meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (September-May) from 6-8 pm at the Anderson Auditorium in Washington West. Membership is open to all high school and college students who exploring different educational routes and careers in healthcare and medicine.

There’s going to be a pizza party and an opportunity for members to get certified for Stop The Bleed. In addition, the first 12 people to RSVP gets to join the Cath lab tour.
