PRIME day at UCSF Fresno. It was great to meet a few of the new students in the program. Leadership from SF came down for the day. One of our newest faculty, Dr Kao-Houa Vang, a graduate of the program, got to tell her story to all assembled.

Every year as part of Community Medicine, interns work on a letter to the editor. This morning the Bee published one by Dr. Monique Cantu!

Advocacy and Leadership month.

I had the opportunity today to meet with residents from UCSF Fresno and with Dr. Robin Linscheid Janzen, an associate professor who teaches advocacy. I much appreciated our discussion about health issues facing communities in the and applaud these residents' dedication.
In addition, our region is in critical need of doctors, and I hope most or all of them will stay in the Valley and practice here.
