This month’s I Am Compassionate video honors the memory of Veda Baughn. 🩵

Veda passed away before we had the opportunity to film her story, so Lucky and Harpreet shared their memories of the woman they were honored to care for.

They remember her as kind, always smiling, and deeply appreciative, with a family who made every visit feel like coming home.

After spending 25 years caring for others as a CNA, Veda’s own life was surrounded by compassion, dignity, and love.

We are grateful to her family for allowing us to honor her memory. 🕊️

Nothing brings a room together quite like live music. 🎷🩵

This past Friday, Compassionate Care joined our friends at Magnolia Place in Bakersfield for an afternoon filled with jazz, laughter, connection, and plenty of fun for residents and staff alike.

A special thank-you to Isel, Memory Care Activity Director at Magnolia Place, for helping make the day such a wonderful experience. And thank you to Isaiah Morfin for filling the room with incredible music and bringing so much energy to the afternoon!

We’re grateful for community partners who help create meaningful moments like these and remind us that joy is such an important part of care.
