Bonjour!

We had such a great time celebrating all of our amazing grandmothers during our Gorgeous Grandmas Around the World celebration! They all looked absolutely fabulous! We can’t thank all of the incredible family members enough for coming in sharing the love with their grandmothers either. It’s one thing to celebrate our residents within the community, but nothing warms our hearts more than family joining in on the love and support! 🥹💜

There’s nothing like an out-of-left-field “because it sounds fun” kind of day at our community, and that proved especially true for our extra-terrestrial Race to Earth day! From crazy costumes, homemade spaceships, and of course a team-based race from Jupiter to Earth, the amount of fun we all had was truly out of this world! Thank you to all the amazingly talented residents who painted the player boards for our race, and to all the awesome staff who participated in the festivities. We had an absolute blast! 👽🛸🌎

Some highlights from our Annual Flag Day Celebration! 🇺🇸

Flag Day was first proposed in 1861 to rally support for the Union side of the American Civil War. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a presidential proclamation that designated June 14 as Flag Day. On August 3, 1949, National Flag Day was officially established by an Act of Congress.

Today, we celebrated Priscilla’s 23rd anniversary with Fairwinds! 🎉

If you know Priscilla or have had the pleasure of working with her, you have undoubtedly experienced her kind and gentle heart. She is truly one of a kind the type of person whose warmth, compassion, and positive spirit make a lasting impact on everyone around her.

For 23 years, Priscilla has faithfully shown up for our community, touching the lives of residents, families, and team members alike. We are incredibly grateful to have her as part of our Fairwinds family and look forward to many more years together.

Outside of work, Priscilla is an amazing mom and grandma who loves spending time with her family, and that same love and care shine through in everything she does.

Thank you, Priscilla, for your dedication, your kindness, and for making our community a better place every day. We are so fortunate to have you on our team. Happy 23rd Anniversary! 👏🏼💐

Some highlights from this weekend’s Friends and Family Memorial Weekend BBQ!

We understand that Memorial Day means something different for every family. It is a day to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect both our country, as well as those they loved who call it home. We hope that all those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty are at peace, and remember with pride those who are gone. While typically our Bistro Happy Hour drinks consists of wine and beer, however this past Wednesday we added some complimentary cocktails to the menu to celebrate World Cocktail Day!

May 13th, 1806, marked the first published definition of a “cocktail” as “a stimulating liquor composed of spirits, sugar, water, and bitters.” To that we say “Cheers to 220 years!” 🍸 🥃
