UCSF Fresno UCSF Fresno, established in 1975, is a regional campus of the UCSF School of Medicine.

We are improving health through teaching, research, patient care and partnerships. UCSF Fresno, established in 1975, plays a vital role in providing health care services to residents of the San Joaquin Valley, training medical professionals in the region, conducting research that addresses regional health issues, academically preparing a pipeline of students for careers in health and medicine and partnering with community organizations. UCSF Fresno held its 8th annual Liver Expo today. The free community event was started by Marina Roytman, MD, director of the UCSF Fresno Liver Program, to help educate the community and to help more people get diagnosed and treated.

Almost 200 people showed up to the free community event which features lectures on liver health, free health screenings for A1C, Hepatitis C, BMI measurements and a diagnostic test known as Fibroscan used to evaluate liver health. Attendees were also treated to a free healthy lunch and took part in exercise stations and chair massages. The UCSF Fresno Liver Expo is held every year. It’s free and open to the public thanks to event sponsors.
