We celebrated 🥳 National Root Beer Float Day with a sweet and refreshing social hour! 😋 Residents enjoyed classic root beer floats while putting their knowledge to the test with "Sunshine & Citrus" trivia from Activity Connection for the entertainment. 🍊 🌞 😊

🌸 🌴 Aloha, Summer!

Today we brought a little island 🏝 fun to our community with a festive luau lunch for our residents and staff! 😋 Everyone got into the spirit with tropical attire, delicious Hawaiian food, and plenty of smiles 😃 at the photo booth! 📷

We also had the honor of crowning 👑 our first-ever "Resident of the Month," Donna! 🥳 She was presented with prizes and a special congratulations 🎊 for being recognized and celebrated by our community! 👏 ❤️

🍉 National Watermelon Day is celebrated annually on August 3rd!

Our residents experienced an afternoon full of refreshing watermelon fun! 😊 They enjoyed sparkling watermelon punch and JonnyPops while coloring watermelon pictures, with some getting creative and crafting their artwork into cooling hand fans! 😃 🎨

We also learned fun watermelon facts from National Day Calendar and put our taste buds to the test with a watermelon tasting! 😋 Residents sampled watermelon topped with honey, Tajín, cinnamon and salt, then ranked their favorites from best to worst.

We also observed School Spirit Day!

👽 We had an out-of-this world day!

Today's space-themed spirit day was filled with fun as staff dressed up in alien and galaxy-inspired attire. 🪐 Everybody enjoyed visiting our galactic booth for galaxy jello, alien punch, cookies, lollipops, and temporary tattoos!

It was a stellar day full of smiles, creativity and cosmic fun! 🚀🛸 👾

🎟 Monthly Movie Matinee 🎬

Our residents had a blast rocking out to Neil Diamond tunes during our morning music jam in preparation for a showing of Song Sung Blue-a film inspired by his music and based on true events! Our themed refreshments included popcorn, cherry Pop-Tarts, and cherry soda water. 😋 🍒 🎶

🏛 📖 Exploring Ye Olde Williamsburg, no suitcase required! 💼✈️

This month's armchair travelogue took our residents to Williamsburg, Virginia! We learned about life in colonial America, stamped our passports, and jotted down interesting facts we learned along the way. ✏️ 📃

To complement our journey, we enjoyed Tw***ie apple pie 🍎 dessert and hot cocoa. Thank you to Activity Connection for another wonderful, engaging virtual adventure! ❤️

🌭 Picnic Time! 🍔

We celebrated National Hot Dog Day a little later than planned, waiting for cooler temps so we could comfortably enjoy the outdoors. ❤️ Residents, family members, and staff loved the chance to enjoy good food, company, and time together outside! 🥰🌞

To celebrate Monarch Pride , our residents enjoyed an orange-themed social featuring homemade Creamsicle smoothies, a friendly round of orange trivia, and a fun photo booth!
