Have you ever thought about having a child that would love to go to school, but there wasn’t a place for them to go?! It’s real and happens!!

We are changing that! Many times kids that have complex medical needs do not have a place where their medical and educational needs are met. It often leads families to homeschooling or with homebound services and someone sacrificing a career they love. Our mission is to change this!!

At Grove Kids, we believe every child deserves a place to learn, grow, and belong, regardless of their developmental, learning, or medical needs.

We’re creating an inclusive early-learning environment in southeast Houston where children (6 weeks to 6 years old) of all abilities can learn together and receive individualized support. Help us get started!

Our goal: raise our first $2,000 in seven days and help us qualify for an additional $400 bank bonus, subject to account requirements.

Let me preface this video by saying that I am a VERY child-led therapist. 🤍 I believe in meeting kids where they are, following their interests, and building connection first.

But after working with many of my little friends for a while, I started realizing something… they were ready for more.

So I began adding a little more structure and expectation—asking them to try things that might feel hard, stick with something a little longer, and realize just how capable they really are.

And you know what?

Every. Single. One. has risen to the occasion. 🥹

So we keep building on those little successes.

Watching a child go from “this is too hard” to realizing “I CAN do this” is seriously the BEST. 💗

Child-led doesn’t have to mean expectation-free. Sometimes believing they’re capable of a little more—and giving them the support to get there—is exactly what helps them grow. 🌱

Oh this boy has been the sweetest most hard working child since I met him four years ago! I have had the honor of watching him go from two word utterances to being able to answer wh questions, story recall, sequence events, be able to tell me about all about his cool vacations around the world, learn how to make friends, advocate for himself, and be confident in the amazing person God made him to be!! We were both in tears especially when I read the THANK YOU note HE wrote me. 🥹 Axel I have no doubt you will either be an Astronaut doctor or an Anesthesiologist. I miss you sweet boy, but you are ready to take on the world!
