🎥 Low Back Pain Mini-Series: Part 2 is Here!

Did you guess the #1 cause of low back pain we see in our office?

🦴 The answer is... facet joints!

Facet joints are the most common source of low back pain we diagnose and treat at American Sport & Spine. These small joints in the back of your spine help provide stability and allow you to bend and twist—but when they become irritated or arthritic, they can be a significant source of pain.

In today's video, we also review some of the basic treatment options for each of the four main causes of low back pain:
💪 Muscle-related pain
💿 Disc-related pain
⚡ Sciatica
🦴 Facet joint pain

The key to lasting relief is getting the right diagnosis, because the best treatment depends on what's actually causing your pain.

Watch Part 2 to learn more, and stay tuned for our next mini series coming soon!

👀 Caught in the act...

We caught Dr. Cody doing tummy time—but don't worry, he's not trying to relive his infancy! 😄

It turns out tummy time isn't just for babies. Spending a little time in this position can help counteract all the hours we spend looking down at our phones, computers, and desks, which can contribute to neck pain and even cervicogenic headaches.

In this fun video, Dr. Cody demonstrates how a simple movement can help improve posture, reduce strain on your neck, and support better overall spinal health.

If you've missed the rest of the series, be sure to check out our previous videos where Dr. Cody explains:
✅ What cervicogenic headaches are
✅ How they're treated
✅ And now, a simple exercise you can start incorporating into your routine

🎥 Watch the video below, and let us know—when was the last time you did tummy time? 😉
